Quick Mannoroth question

Hey folks,

Am I right in thinking that the pools dropped by Gaze targets in Mannoroth's final phase will slow you down even while Empowered Shadowforce is pushing you over them? And therefore that you should intentionally get pushed over them as part of helping you survive the Shadowforce?

There is a strat where you go the long way through the middle and don't need them, but yes, you can and should use them to slow you down if you don't do the former.

going to middle leaves the raid vulnerable to glaive combo/knockback. Besides, the pools do almost no damage anyway.

That doesn't change the fact that there are groups who use that strat. It's also really easy to avoid the glaive combo.

On our HC kills there we tank the boss on the edge but facing the centre of the room. On P4 we stack up on the right side of the boss first and move to his front 5 seconds prior to the Shadowforce. We pop a Stampeding Roar on the pushback and move to the left side after it's done. No extra healing needed and low downtime.

Yes, they will slow you down. Our strat looks as follows:

Starting at right add, kill around circle.
Put tail of mannaroth toward one pillar
Everyone stand behind Mannaroth and dps til phase 3.
Move out from behind boss for felseekers
Fears will run into pillar
Shadowforce will pushed into pillar


Phase 3: (When pillar is gone)
Move to left of boss with boss still in same spot.
Fears will push toward side.. 1-2 soak with fear for smallest frost patch
Shadowforce all maneuver through frost patches. Run back to boss
Kill boss, collect loot

Note: We keep hunters on internals the entire fight.
