[55 Exalted Reputations] Achievement account-wide progress.

My question is, WHY ain't that achivement account-wide progress!?
Making changing main a pain in the ass.
Or, you have to lvl up your old main EVERY new expantion and do EVERY rep in than expantion or re-do EVERY faction on the way up to the new expantion again.
I mean, WHY!

My point is,what is the point of not doing it account-wide in progress?
I don't wanna spend weeks of farming to be able to reroll an class and not feel like i HAVE to go back to my old main.

It's really not that hard to farm, especially if you already got the Draenor ones done over the weekend. And now that DMF is here, you can get the rep buff to make it less tedious to grind out. Just because you're inconvenienced and that it can be somewhat annoying doesn't mean it should be BoA. We don't need the game to be easier than it already is.

Besides i did all but the Emperor reps on 1 char now.
Never thought it was much of a hassle.

Most reps take 3h to farm max (boomkin)
Just do 1 rep a day for 5 weeks and ur done?

I don't even understand why reputations aren't just account-bound. :/ They removed gear rewards from factions, so why not make them account shared. As for people saying they're easy to farm, that's true for most. Have fun regrinding Hydraxian Waterlords, Bloodsail buccaneers + gob rep/Ravenholdt/Defilers/Warsong Outriders, not to mention the reps that have been removed over time.

1 rep a day for 5 weeks. I'd love to spend that 20min(?) a day for 5 weeks on something else than redo what i've already done once.

It's an achievement that rewards you for sticking with a character over the course of years. Nothing wrong with that.

I love the people saying that reps only take max a day now to earn.

How many are gated by dailies and/or instances? Unless you want to drive yourself crazy and run literally every single old world dungeon and a large portion of the raids every single reset, then it's going to take a long time, and it's killing the game for some people who are reluctant to do that.

I've been with my priest since the start and I'm nearing The Beloved, and honestly, I hate my class now. I hate Shadow, I hate Discipline and I'm okay with Holy, but the devs aren't okay with Holy so that goes out the window. I've been wanting and trying to change mains since Cata, and I've even managed to do it a few times (I went with both a Druid and a Warlock inbetween these expansions), but I always start to think 'oh my god as if I have to grind this disgusting rep again', and I revert back to my priest.

I'm not saying this to whine, I'm merely pointing out that Blizzard has really odd split point of views. Why make some things account wide and not others? What purpose does not sharing the reps serve? Or at least bring in commendations again, so some rep grinds don't honestly make me feel sick at the prospect.

So yeah, some rep grinds are easy now that everyones way out leveled them. Some however are still disgusting, and for some people, it makes changing mains hard for the same reason people didn't want to change mains before mounts and/or titles and/or achievements were account wide; they matter to that player more than the enjoyment.

Edit: Yes I have 3 which are no longer available. So you can skip 27 reps you dont like.

Not sure why people are just saying "grind it again". Grinding is not fun. I don't like to do things I've already done that are not fun. In a video game.

I'm not 100% sure if you still can get Black Prince Rep, so I did not include that.

Let's say like this then - Make all rep EXEPT the factions that's in the current expantion?
So, if you feel like rerolling a new main, you can focus on what's important NOW not on something that was important 6 years ago.
since it does block your progress on a new char since if you reroll a new char your exalted achive also starts at 0.
which means you do have to level your old main every expantion to not be needed to redo everything.
