    Advice on Gladi

I dont know if this is already common knowledge, but as gladi you can start encounters in defensive stance and the tank legendary ring, and right before the pull you use the tank ring active and switch over to gladi (and swap the ring) to get that sweet 50% bonus damage

What's the purpose of starting in defensive stance or swapping the ring out. Does the tank ring not work in gladiator stance?

no, it does not work. you are supposed to use the dps ring for gladi

You get that sweet bonus damage but you also only get 1 use out of the ring and miss out on that sweet 25% explosion damage, so it's still worse.
Probably running on a Pentium 4

that explosion damage only occurs once per ring use for all the dps classes, so you dont miss out on it.

    Totally agree with Bigbazz here.

Just running some rough napkin math:

If you would do 1,000,000 damage over 15 sec then the DPS ring will make that 1,250,000 and the tanking ring proc would make it 1,500,000 however the explosion from the DPS ring would add 312,500 from the final explosion so a total of 1,562,500 so the DPS one is better even with the full 15 seconds, and in the example given you're saying to proc the ring before the pull timer reaches zero (how would the tanks feel about this anyway?).

    *EDIT*

And that's just single target, multi-target would put the DPS ring proc even further ahead.
