Why? He's my least favorite character in the entirety of the Warcraft universe and I'm interested to hear from someone who actually likes him.

I don't find his voice work to be grating or anything. I intensely dislike the character of Tirion Fordring. His motivation for the Argent Tournament is extremely shady and I feel like we should suspect him of some wrongdoing. Like the Naaru. Nothing in the entirety of the Warcraft universe-- literally the physical space it occupies-- is that altruistic and untainted. Nothing. Tirion skeeves me like he's hiding some shit we're not privy to.

Having Tirion die would be too much of a wasted opportunity. To see him broken in the face of this invasion would properly reflect just how dire the times are where even he has lost hope.

Who gives a shit about Thrall. I hope he gets stepped on by a a Fel Lord and Aggra gets eaten by a Kodo.

I would love for this to be the case. They've given Thrall so much story. Meanwhile Tirion has done nothing despite people wanting more of him and the Crusade.

After looking at "Echo of the Highlord" as Ashbringer's first talent, it looks pretty bleak for Tirion.

Chilton mentioned that Lady Liadrin would be one of the members of our order of the Silver Hand. So if she is okay, I imagine that Quel'Delar will still be wielded by her.

They're already available in the game however. It's unlikely they'll take something that wouldn't even remotely go on par with Ashbringer in terms of power to balance some kind of worth for the other specs.

My question is, do you only get one? For example, if you lvl as ret you'll get Ashbringer. But what if you end up going prot or holy later on? You just don't get the other weapon?

I can't see Tirion ever being the one to lose hope before a fight. His character is too driven and has way too much conviction imo to be one to break.

Those are probably just placeholder icons, I really wouldn't read into it.

That, or they are just reusing existing assets that work for it rather than create more.

The problem is that their are 4 types of paladins, Human and dwarf paladins, blood paladins, vindicators and the holy cows.

Blood paladins had a certain look to them with the black plate armor set (which after that their own paladin look was drowned out by human/dwarf and Vindactor art )

I don't even know what Sun walkers would look like, besides tribal clothes and a long basic weapon.

Giving every ret Ashbringer, seems lazy and a way to please fans. Like buying a toy to a screaming child who wants it.

A reforged or repurposed Ashkandi,Glorenzelg, one of the prismatic swords would of been so much better

The problem is that Uther's hammer is Hammer of the Lightbringer which is a 2 handed hammer :/

Not to mention Uther himself uses it as a two hander. He doesn't use the Libram as a shield.

Edit: Not saying they couldn't make it work, it's just extremely unlikely.

I hated Tirion for wielding the Ashbringer which was clearly destined to go to Darrion Mograine like his father Alexandros Mograine had intended (Alexandros says to Darrion: That some day he would wield the blade, but that day is not today). I hoped that During the LK fight, Tirion would die and Darrion would step up, taking the blade and finishing off the Lich King. But alas, it was not meant to be.

I liked Tirion before WotLK, but him losing Ashbringer at the start, coming to Northrend undercover and having us bring the blade to him? Yeah that instantly made me resent him.

I hope he dies and just before he dies I can claw the Ashbringer from his dying body and whisper in his ear: "All Hail the Lich King" while smiling menacingly, just to mess with his head!

Then I'd ask Darrion for his blessing to wield his father's sword against the Legion.
Alexandros Mograine IS the Ashbringer and will always be, I will just wield his blade to uphold his legacy!
