    Fantastic Four Reboot = FLOP

    http://www.egotastic.com/2015/08/fan...x-office-flop/

This weekend Fantastic Four brought in just $26.2 million domestically. To put that into perspective, even 2011's abysmal The Green Hornet opened to $33.5 million. So this is easily the biggest superhero box office flop of all time.
Who didn't see this one coming?

If Fox (or anybody making super hero movies) still expects to transform every Marvel hero into a repetitive cash-grab then they better learn their lesson.

Don't screw with the characters identity, don't get douchebags to portray them, and don't hand the reigns to an asshat director who blames movie goers for his own failures.

    Wasn't this reboot all FOX?

Maybe they should just stop making Fantastic Four movies, it seems impossible to make a decent movie with them.

This makes me very happy, This new FF4 looks like a huge disgrace to me!
Although it still topped the UK box office... so they can still call it some form of a success Q_Q

Kinda expected this. This had "We're making this to hold onto the rights" written all over it.

Doesen't the movie have pretty much the exact same plot as the first fantastic 4 movie? With them going to space, and then fighting Doom in the middle of new york?

I wasn't interested in seeing it and I love superhero movies, it looked stupid. If the reviews from geek sources said it was decent then I would have gone. But that doesn't always work either. I was told Gravity was good and that was one of th dumbest movies I have ever seen.

That's what they get for having your typical racist moment of make the white guy look "uncool" because he didn't know how to fist bump the black guy.

How a movie does at the box office is a terrible measure of how good/successful it is/will be.

9% score on rotten tomatoes for critics and 23% audience.

Well the reviews can be summed up as "steaming pile of dog crap"

I think right now we can say it's bad when it gets worse ratings than Adam Sandler.

This is mostly because Marvel forgot that Ultimates FF was terrible. No seriously, Ultimates FF was one of the worst Ultimates lines.

The fantastic four are shitty heroes anyway. There's a reason every movie they're in sucks. They suck.

Once I found out Ben Grimm's brother yells "It's clobberin' time!" before he abuses Ben, I knew this was heading to the trash bin.

    9% on Rotten Tomatoes lol.

The last thing people want when they go to see a superhero movie is the heroes themselves played by douche bags who belong in the Twilight franchise.

Fantastic Four is an outdated concept. I do not believe it's possible to make it marketable, without huge changes. Even replacing human torch with Spider-Man, didn't really help in comics. Fantastic Four is only relevant due to the legacy built by Jack Kurby and Stan Lee...

I'm somewhat amazed that FF has survived as a comic for as long as it has.
