The one thing I notice with all anti gun folks is this. They project their mental problems onto others. They probably cant be trusted with a weapon so they assume all others must be the same. Guess its why so many of the mass shooters in the past have been like them.

Because muggings and robbery and whatever else does happen. I don't live in a fantasy world and think that they never occur. I've seen some rough shit go down and know it happens on a daily basis.

The chances of it happening to me are slim generally but I want to be ready to protect my wife and kids should it happen while we are out.

It's not escalation to defend yourself or others. If someone is willing to threaten you with a weapon they should be prepared to face the fact that other people are willing to defend themselves. Up to and including using lethal force.

I think you are no more likely to be able to defend yourself, because you will be disabled first. If you get robbed it will most likely be an ambush and maybe a hostage situation.

Just as an fyi, for people according to a study conducted last year, of the internation homicide rate done globally. Honduras, which is a socialist nature with really strict gun laws has the highest death rate. The homicide rate for America, even though we are #1 in the world for gun ownership, puts outside of the top 100 countries. We have a lower homicide rate then Germany, Spain, Denmark, New Zealand, Netherlands, Austria, Italy, France and Australia.....

That's really weird considering all those countries have some of the strictest gun control, yet more people are murdered their per capita.

Unless you mean you're outside the top 100 of LOWEST homicide per capita, of course. USA are on par with Niger and Yemen in terms of murders per capita. More than 10 African countries have lower rates than you do.

We had some theaters shot up over the last few years and I have seen some articles suggesting metal detectors and security ect...

What do you folks think? Do you feel unsafe when you go to catch a show? Would you rather a metal detector and a security guard on the site?

I personally think the notion is silly, pretty sure you have better odd winning the powerball than becoming a victim of a murderer during a matinee.

I'd pay nothing.
The reason being I live in a civilised country where I don't have to be the least concerned about Cinemas being shot up.....
