Depends on the context (as always).
I find the phrase "<whateverthefuckitis> is offensive"
pretty offensive.
"The pen is mightier than the sword.. and considerably easier to write with."
I don't think either phrase is correct. An "immigrant" is someone that intends to permanently live in the country they've moved to. The more general term is "illegal alien", which covers temporary labor and others that don't intend to remain in the country they've moved to.
