How do I spend my first 12k gold?

How should I spend my gold? Should I get some tier 1 char for 10k? Or should I do something else?
If you ask me what I like to play, well I dunno, I don't like squishy characters for sure.

Use the free rotation weeks. Play all the free characters, maybe for a week or 2.. maybe 3, then decide

Sometimes free weeks suck, like this one for example, it would be nice to have your own champ to play when you're bored with free stuff.

Muradin. He's cheap (only 2k gold, so you can easily buy another 10k hero at least), has a colossal health pool, is easy to learn and is a great main.

Yeah, I would also recommend continuing to build up your gold until you find a Hero that you really enjoy playing. I've got about 20k gold now and will probably be buying Zeratul with gold, and probably Sonya.

That said, I already bought Thrall with money (back when I had little gold) as he is one of my favourite characters regardless as a WoW player, and had a fun playstyle to boot.

If you really like one particular character then you could buy their Master Skin.

then after that, just try heroes as they come into the free rotation and buy the ones you like

If you can, play every F2P hero to level 5. Unlocks gold and gives you a feel for them.

If you know whether you prefer Warriors, Supports, Assassins or Specialists we can make some recommendations.

What the shit you talkin bout? This is a pretty solid free week. I'm loving Leoric. Gazlowe is pretty fun. Kerrigan is top tier.

Level 10 skins cost 10000g I think. Good to know, if you've found a character you love and have decided to level it to 10 for the skin. Level 10 only unlocks the ability to purchase the skin, doesn't give the skin automatically.

Another option is to save 20K for the gold only mounts.

Buy the one or two champions you like most no matter how expensive, and then buy the cheapest ones possible till you can start doing hero league.

I bought the cheapest heroes first and moved my way up from that, at this point i only miss 4 heroes some of them i don't even want like Chen and vikings.

Decide what role you like, get a cheap hero for that role(Muradin for warrior, Lili for support, Valla or Raynor for assassin), then spend a couple weeks trying the free roster until you find one you really like, and buy that one. 12k is enough for 1 cheap hero and still leaves 10k for one of the others, plus you'll keep racking up gold from dailies and wins in the meantime, too.

The first thing I did was buy one of the Heroes that caught my eye - Johanna. I'm glad I made the purchase as I enjoy the hero, however, I think it is wise to try them out before you buy. Keep the gold until the free rotation comes around and find one you like before you spend on it.

They do? A lot of the master skins are so fugly I wouldn't use if they were given to me, and several others look decent, but not 10k worth of decent(Anub, Kerrigan).
