<Genesis> is a progression raid guild on the Horde side of Mal'Ganis US. We are a group of former hardcore raiders who have decided to form together as Genesis.
We are a progression orientated guild and expect that mindset from any applicant, our goal is to become more competitive on our realm with a solid group of like-minded, mature players. At Genesis we are a team, our officers and members have a strong desire to see new content and progress as a guild. If you do not share the same goals/interests, this is not the guild for you.
When we say mature we mean mature enough to tolerate jokes and handle criticism. We like to have fun, it not only eases the tensions but reminds us we're all playing a game and here for the fun. If things like racial slurs, politically incorrect insults, or any other matter of adult content offends you or get exceptionally offended when your performance is scrutinized, this probably isn't the guild for you.
It goes without saying that having a PVE mindset means you are a player who knows how to min/max, comes prepared to raid with all available & relevant consumables for their class and is prepared to play whatever spec is optimal or necessary to progress. This also means you are prepared for new encounters, the expectation is you know the bare minimum from the in-game dungeon journal going into every fight.
Why <Genesis>?
We don't take sh*t, officers don't yell and argue in mumble, Loot Drama is non-existent and complaining about Loot decisions is explicitly frowned upon. If you complain about loot there's a good chance you won't see a <Genesis> tag above your head much longer.
We're all adults, many of us with families and children. We work, we play and we work hard to maintain a fun and mature atmosphere. That includes raiding environment. Rarely will you hear an Officer or Raid Lead yell, belittle or insult other raiders for performance, this type of conduct is unacceptable.
It's all about the loot, our primary loot system is Loot Council however we also use EPGP as a gauge to track players who show up on time, contribute to progression kills etc. In the end our Loot Council makes the final decision on every piece of loot regardless of EPGP Priority. Also, we're not idiots, we put priority on things like completing set bonuses and are mindful of massive upgrades. However, the only players we specifically prioritize are our tanks, for obvious reasons.
