if its a prequel to the games: Failure

if its somehow set in the middle of Borderlands 1 & 2, it might have some ground to cover and be good, but unlikely.

if its post Borderlands 2, It has potential, but unlikely Hollywood will actually make it good.

Will probably suck video games turned movies are never as good as they should be... hell borderlands was suppose to be a huge open world of an entire planet not the linear false open world it is now.

If they make it like a Max Max with some more humor and less cars and more crazy guns, it could be highly entertaining. ANd while this seems like an oxymoron, they need to take this movie seriously but not too seriously for it to be successful. A big part of Borderland's success comes from the humor of the game.

I would have preferred this be a tv series, done by Scifi channel... with the first game being season 1, season 2 the presquel... and season 3 being BL 2 and tales from the borderlands onward...leading to the war of the vault hunters

I've been really impressed with the Telltale game. I'd say its been stronger then Game of Thrones. Heaps of fun. You should check it out when all that parts come out!
