Antarctica will be beachfront property one day! There's an entire continent for humans to swarm and plunder.

    Jeesh.
They are. Mother Nature is already on the job. There's a reason more and more people are showing a disinterest in having children. There's a reason homosexuality and "alternative sexual identities" (or whatever people are labeling it as) is becoming more common place. These are all good things for the Earth.

At current best crop yields Africa has enough arable land to feed 15 billion people. The ultimate theoretical limit for the population the Earth could support (set by heat dissipation) is around 1 trillion people (this would require synthetic food, though).

Africa is rapidly getting wealthier and better educated, so if the population does reach 4 B, I expect they will be ok.
