9/11 jokes... drowned syrian boy jokes... etc.
People make fun of how thousands died at 9/11. It doesn't even matter if you think it was a government conspiracy or a real assault, people still died. People that had no connection with the terrorists or the government, people who were doing their best to live their lives. And they died. Some in horrible ways. Yet people make fun of their deaths! Sure, maybe those dead might not care, but I'm sure their families, their friends, the survivors, they do care. And every year even if they try to pass this dreadful moment where someone died they are reminded of it through tasteless jokes.
People make fun of the little syrian boy who died drowned. Sure maybe his parents could have taken a better route, and maybe you don't like immigrants (I don't like them much either) but that boy had no fault. He didn't carry the sins of his fathers or of anyone else. Yes, he was an immigrant, but it wasn't his choice, it wasn't like he could have decided to remain there when his parents carried him away. Yet people made jokes of his drowning even before he was buried. As I said, I don't like the fact that so many immigrants are coming either, but I don't make fun of when one dies. That's tasteless, it's rude, it's wrong.
And there are many more examples, but these 2 are recent.
So, overall, how can people laugh at the deaths of others? How can people not care even enough to at least not make fun of their deaths? I don't expect people to send flowers or send support to the relatives, but at least they can do is not make fun of a tragic situation.
