What has your life and experiences taught you so far?

A couple of things life has taught me so far.

    Only fools deal in absolutes.
Even the wisest cannot see all outcomes.
Never pass up or on a good thing.
Make the best of the worst.
    Patience is learned.
Do not deal out death and judgement.
There is no such thing as a no-win situation.
Proper planning prevents piss poor performance.
You are the deciding factor in the outcome of your happiness.

What about you guys? Share your wisdom to be had with others.
    doh my god....

Touched a hot wood stove at age 4. Learned real quick to not touch anything that gives off a lot of radiant heat.

People mostly only care about their own situation.
Individuals rarely make life decisions based on the greater good for all.
Evolution puts you in your place on the day you are born and there is nothing you can do about it.
Free will existing is extremely unlikely.

No conversation is embarassing between you and a medical professional.

^ sure, plenty of funny people try to argue that one, but it saves lives. Daily.

People in groups are worse than cattle. Flock mentality is real.

    Poiticians are lying, thieving cunts.

Women tend to be the superior sex.

    1. Few things suck as much as getting what you want.
    2. Teamwork is great only when your partners are competent.
    3. If you don't have number 2, then doing it yourself is less work than fixing the junk that your partners will produce.
    4. Stay calm in bad situations; panicking is completely useless for averting crisis.

One of those is Star Wars, and at least two of them are Gandalf

Mine is "live and let live." If the people over there are minding their own business and no one is getting hurt, don't be bothered by what they do. The Harm Principle, essentially. As an example, I've never understood the arguments against gay marriage because I can't think of a single reason why it should bother me.

Essentially, let people live their lives as they please and treat them with respect and dignity so long as they aren't harming anyone. Wanna enjoy MLP? Go nuts. Wanna be devout and religious? Good for you. Wanna get married to your same-sex partner? Sure thing. As long as you aren't harming anyone or being obnoxious about it, why should I care?

The other thing I learned is that Hinder's "Lips of an Angel" is just about the worst song ever written.

Reputation and opportunity are most important. Take good care of yourself. Have interests and protect them while you have the opportunity.

"life is a gift" is a lie.

if there's some being out there watching us, it's either a sadistic, cruel creature. or has no power to interact with us.

love really ain't worth the trouble.

as a 32 year old cancer survivor.... the world is a dark cold cruel place full of sickness and chaos. What you do has little to do with what happens to you. Good things happen to shitty people and bad things happen to great people and vice versa. We have no control over this. Overall life is dark so you have to find the small glimpses of light and hold on to them as long as you can, as those too will be gone someday.

There is no God, and if there is.. hes a demented fuck and all our lives are his personal gag reel.

It's time for some bits of bear wisdom:

If you pee on it, it's your territory. No exception.

Hand washing before eating is overrated. Just don't use your hands, and you'll be fine.

Cars are made of metal. Don't eat them. Don't even try.

Rolling around fallen leaves is fun but ultimately useless. And itchy.
