    New PC screen (24 inch)

So it seems my not that old OKAY 1080p 24 inch died on me today, so now I need a new one.

144 hertz, 1 ms response seems doable even for my price range (With 1080p)

So far I found 2 screens:

    http://www.elgiganten.dk/product/pc-...#tab-more-info

I think I want to stear away from Samsung, last 2 screens broke....AOC I dont know much about, but LG, Asus and Acer screens could be nice.

Budget around 300-400 dollars, I guess I'll settle for 1080p, not so sure if it has to be 144 hertz but low response would be nice

AOC is very good, I was a bit skeptical at first about my AOC 24 144hz.. But the picture quality is amazing for TN panel and it's the best monitor I have owned so far. The build quality is also very good.

I don't remember of the top of my head any 144Mhz 1080p ips monitors, so you will have to go for TN. Benq has some really nice 144mhz "no lag" monitors, XL2411Z, XL2430T etc.
Depending on the games you play you can go 1440p too with a gtx970. Say wow you should be just fine just not the very demanding games. You can get an Acer or Dell 25" 1440p monitor that will help (help as in not +27").

IPS isn't generally all that great for gaming on anyways, its pretty and looks nice.
but has some pretty serious input lag imho.
I currently still use a 120hz 24" xl2420t TN panel and its fine. Colors are good, low latency.
shoot for a xl2411z. 144hz, 1 ms, nice screen angles too.
friend got one and he couldn't be happier

No. Scroll down to the gaming / lag.

Advertised pixel response is a pointless figure. Usually it's taking the quickest gray to gray transition with the highest overdrive possible and using it as the figure. In practice a 1-2ms TN is more along the line of 4ms.
The second part is signal process which all panel types deal with. This entirely depends on the manufacturer and controller.

The 2 screens I linked seemt kinda nice, one was like 40 dollars more than the other in my country (1999 KR cheapest one)

...Looked around some more and it seems there are 3 main choices:

    https://www.komplett.dk/product/775713/hardware/skrme/skrme/aoc-24-led-g2460pqu#

    https://www.komplett.dk/product/774683/hardware/skrme/skrme/asus-24-led-vg248qe#

Seems like its just a choice for these 3 only, if I want 144 hertz 1 ms time response and stuff. Asus had better energi-class, A+, and I do like Asus brand. AOC is lishgtly cheaper

Anybody who dont like these 3?

Personally I'd get an BenQ XL2430T or Eizo FG2421 if you can. Ones you listed really aren't great. AOC is okay and XL2411Z is pretty outdated. VG248QE is all kinds of mediocre.

Whatever you get, make sure you can adjust the height or that it's non-adjustable height is good for you. Not straining your neck is more important than a few extra gimmicks.

Both of thoes cost about 175 dollars more than thoes 3. Actually learning towards Asus the most atm.

One thing I've read from some of these 144hz monitors is that it can require you to re configure your monitors color settings to make it look good as well. There seems to be a bunch of threads out there with settings to help you out too.

If you can wait, Komplett usually has a sale on the weekends. It's been a while since they had a 144 Hz monitor on there, so maybe wait until the weekend to purchase it.

I don't post that often, and when I do it's often in bursts. I always lurk though.
