    M Kromrok question.

    Hi everyone!
We spent 2 hours progressing on this boss last night, and i got a few questions:
Most of our wipes seems to be on 2nd pair of hands and people complaining they get no time to get to theyre soak spot. Do we need to change the way we soak the goo?
We use 2 hunters and a rogue to soak runes and when the runes are empowered hunters die. Should we swap hunters for any other class for the job?

Kind of hard to say what you should change with the goo soaking since you say nothing about how you do it or give logs. But basically burst the hands down and go soak, put people with movement cd's further away, roar, it shouldn't be a problem.

Rune soaking is the most annoying thing on this boss, double rogue is best but 2 x hunter + rogue works so that the hunters take turns. Assign one healer to both soakers and don't be afraid to use externals on them, not like tanks need them on this really.

Can't say a whole lot more unless you want to post logs.

Try to make it so the 2nd hands are stacked in the middleish of the room, giving everyone equal chance to reach their hands, if you're positioning the hands more 1 sided, that may be the issue, otherwise it's just a L2P issue i.m.o, just gotta make the raid understand they have to move before their arrow actually shows (if you're using Exorsus raid tools)

Hmm well for the hands I think you're just not stacked up enough. I'm comparing to our first kill and you can watch the replays at 1:57 and a few seconds on:

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...30&view=replay
    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...23&view=replay

Something else to help you, don't 4 heal. this fight is easily 3 healed and helps you meet the dps (though with the ring that's probably not hard anyways). Also you shouldn't need hero on the 2nd hands, that's mostly wasted as he leaps right after.

As to your rune soaker deaths, here's one:

    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...deaths&death=1

0.00s Айсира dies from Environment's Foul Residue
    -0.36s Environment Foul Residue Айсира Tick 36213 (O: 23950)
-1.03s Kormrok Explosive Rune Айсира 268602
-1.14s Шенокен Renewing Mist Айсира Tick +587 (Multistrike)
-1.14s Шенокен Renewing Mist Айсира Tick +1957
-1.38s Environment Foul Residue Айсира Tick 59023
-2.76s Шенокен Renewing Mist Айсира Tick +1957
-3.82s Айсира's Deterrence fades from Айсира
-4.35s Шенокен Renewing Mist Айсира Tick +1957
-4.71s Environment Foul Residue Айсира Tick 29895
-5.70s Environment Foul Residue Айсира Tick 29965
-6.05s Шенокен Renewing Mist Айсира Tick +0 (O: 587) (Multistrike)

In 6 seconds the only heals he got were Renewing Mist ticks?? At least one of the healers should be spamming him (assign one) and like I said, giving him an external for when deterrence ends isn't a bad idea either. He didn't have any at least on that try.

Assign classes with blink/teleports to furthest positions(druids/mages/monks), If you still don't have enough for your players to get into position to soak, drop 1 healer and go with 3 instead.

It's more important to soak one large patch than to have all 20 people "try" to soak some and leave a patchwork of soaked / unsoaked areas imo. Obviously the faster you burst those second hands down the more time you have to move into position so the first thing to do is to save resources to burst the second group of hands.

We initially had some trouble with that, but once we 1) saved up aoe abilities/made sure we stacked up properly to instantly burst down hands and 2) made sure that the classes without strong movement abilities were assigned closer positions.... it was significantly easier.

We didn't have any rogues so we just did the purple phase second. Wasn't too bad.

Second potions are a must on the second set of hands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmcxU8Hnx7s

No they are not a must, the may help but proper grouping up and the using the right AOE abilities immediately are way more important.

Why aren't people taking optimal burst aoe spec/talents? We literally have the hands die in 2, at most 3 globals.
If you're having an issue with hands not going down in time to go soak, have both warlocks play destro, both mages Arcane with two charges of Supernova for each set of hands, etc.

    Ring for hands as well.

Could also have one of your locks go demo to wreck the hands.

Use ERT to assign soak positions. Do Green-Purple first. Make the stack point for dragging hands go into the GREEN pool NEAR the purple pool edge.
Assign 1 druid roar for that hands-->Leap-->Soak timing.
Be sure the tank pulls towards purple pool during hands, instead of following the hands.. as the boss likes to leap towards orange there even tho it is further away.

To dodge waves: raid head towards green pool first, dodge green waves first, then worry about other waves.
Current tank face ass towards wall between green/purple pools.
Assign Vig + Sac + Iron bark (12 sec externals) to first swat tank. This tank does not get a life grip... must use personals (my own is barkskin + 1 3sec Savage defense).. the other 2 swats get lifegrips. (requires 2 priests, lifegrip out of the air the moment the swat cast is finished).. the reason to NOT use lifegrip on first one is due to wave dodging making it suicide for the priest to do so... may also be able to use warlock portal there instead.

The day we switched to green->Purple THEN orange, we killed this in 3 pulls. Empowered runes HURT. Learn to dodge waves and the fight is a joke.

Lust when the boss is on his way back from the first leap.
Ring the moment the boss is back/stable -- ideally at 13-15 seconds left on FIRST crushing hand timer.. so the dps ring explodes the moment the crushing hand comes up. ((if you delay ring longer, dmg from ring can be wasted on a too low hp crushing hand.. and it cant be done earlier as people are still coming back from soaks... we did once try to make sure ring was on 1 side of boss, opposite of crushing hand, so dps wasn't wasted from the ring on the crushing hand... but... then dps has to kill the hand anyway.. so.... might as well just blast the hand with the ring, almost 1 shotting it, and allowing for more lust dps on the boss.

    We 3 heal this fight.
DPS check = Kill boss before first empowered runes detonate. They do sometimes cast, but you kill the boss before they detonate.

Once we switched to this strat; what still wipes us? Me. the dumbass tank who fails to pull the boss closer to purple... and so it leaps to orange and then we die horribly to empowered runes. Otherwise boss has been 1 shot every week since first kill.
