It's so sad... in lower hero leagues you have almost free wins with any specialist lane hero. Why do people group up everywhere?

Finished my TL placements a few days back. I have gone 8-3 this season and placed Bronze 2 up from Bronze 5 in previous seasons. I've been playing alongside gold, silver and plat players. I am happy with the MMR gains.

Just taking a break from ranked though as the current patch has caused the game to stutter a bit. I am waiting for a hotfix patch.

Because past 10 that's what you're supposed to do? Sure there are exceptions when you have to soak and can do so safely, but for the most part grouping up is the way to go. Just wiped the enemy team? Group up and push a fort, get a boss, invade enemy camps. You could safely split for a bit if you want to get your own camps and soak some lanes, but once the enemy team is up, group back up unless you're pushing out lanes on your side of the map, and even then that can be risky if the enemy is aggresive and your team is full of pussies.

Indeed - lower leagues means that this very basic concept of laning is even more important. Any popular streamer got through lower leagues thanks to excessive laning. I have yet to see anyone who just goes brawl nonstop and carry.

EU sorry. But I recommend having a look at https://www.hotslogs.com/Sitewide/HeroAndMapStatistics You can clearly see which heroes are a lot more favored in lower leagues compared to higher ones

Low league player here. My issue is that whenever I have laned the most, I have usually lost, and pretty heavily. I get a lot of teams that just fail to group up even as a 4 man.

Most of my recent wins in ranked are as support and tanks where playing with the team is crucial. I will concede that in some of the wins and losses, there was always that one person (usually a specialist) who was a push monster. But for me, the deathball factor is very important.

My last game on Zagara for instance on BHB (unranked), I just stayed with the team after clearing a wave (had Auriel put blessing of hope on me every now and then) and we trained the enemy team. I mention this game because I have had a tough time on Zagara previously simply because whenever I tried to solo lane and stay there, my team mates got picked off. Enemy team had Xul and we never let him put any pressure on the map.

Had a monster game with Tassadar, top hero dmg, top siege, top healing over malf and lucio. It's only a matter of time before his lvl 20 archon talent gets nerfed, OP as hell.

Recently got Zarya and Zagara to Level 9 for the gold. There's no other hero close so I might as well focus on other Lower level characters before 2.0. Also considering doing my HL placements. Already did my TL ones.

Sitting at 46K gold and mulling the final heroes to buy. Still have 3 4K heroes left - so I might buy those (Tassadar, Illidan, Johanna).

Edit: So I've started my HL placements ad 2-2 so far. Ended up playing different heroes each game. More or less happy with my performance. I feel the loses were because enemy team genuinely outplayed our team and I was trying my best.

Wait a minute... When did Arthas become Redonk? I'm back playing after a long gap, tried Arthas out and absolute STOMPED. the tweaks to his Trait and some of his talents give him some incredibly surprising damage late game, while still being nice and tanky.

Got reworked in the probius patch. He is very good. Just has a hard time against mages unless you take the level 20 talent. If I see arthas I take something like zagara and poke him like hell. I'm sure chromie, Lunara and Li ming work well too.
