Shoes only hurt long term- you have to be in your heels like all day and basically on your feet for a good part of that time. We're not meant to walk and dance the night away in heels- you're suppose to be sitting/carried most of the time.

I'm personally from Florida. I wear sandles ALL the time. I'm barefoot in my house. High heals hurt like hell. Most of the sneakers I wear, hurt like hell (until I found the best sneaker ever for work : Z-Coil) . Anyway, I don't paint my nails. I just like the freedom.

Heels, all women do it (who wear heels anyway)..not just "white girls".
My experience is that the ones who are smart about it keep flip flops or sandles ...more comfortable ones for after the "club".

I've never gone dancing or been to a bar... but I've known people that do like that. And... they usually wear heels :P I've worn heels before, and my feet hurt after. If I was going to go dancing, I'd be wearing appropriate shoes, that's for sure. You can look good in flats, too. And those are easier to move around in.
