    Van Helsing - maybe chasing different monsters each week or along those lines
    Universal Soldier - confronts modern day terrorism etc
    Lethal Weapon - comedy
    Casino - maybe have the story around the mob

    Odd Thomas. The movie wasn't all that great but it is based on a pretty solid series of novels by Dean Koontz. I would rather they reboot it as a TV series then follow the movie though.

    That'd be good actually. I finished the books and really enjoyed them. Each book could be a season although that may be moving too slowly. I'm not sure some of it could be shown on TV though like the murdering kids bit in the second book(?).

    Show ended two to three months actually. You should definitely finish it out.

    I'd almost wanna say Matrix... but only if it was pre-rabbithole. Everything kinda fell apart after that.

    Pulp Fiction ? I could see this as just a straightup remake/expansion of the events in the movie.

    Ok, I was gonna say Aliens, but only if AMC or HBO got ahold of it.... then I thought... !@#$ Aliens. Give me Predator: The Hunt. or something. Something that lets me see deeper into the society and mind of the Predators than any of the movies have.

    I've read on iMDb that a Dr. Manhattan TV series is rumored to be in talks. Which is neat

    Oh, and I guess a TV series after Inception could be cool.

    But actually, more spaceships TV series please... the genre died with SGU
