CNN is reporting that 10 people have been killed and that the shooter has been detained.

Was also a shooting at a high school in South Dakota today.

Fortunately only 1 person was shot, the principal and he only suffered a minor injury. The assistant principal tackled the student that had the gun and prevented further injuries.

Although, i'm sure the parents of the student will attempt to sue the school district for the assistant principal assaulting their poor deranged child. After all, he should have minded his own business and not gotten involved, right?

To be fair, mental health care in this country is in shambles as well. We should all be getting behind reform for that system instead of focusing on the gun issue, which seems like a useless battle at this point.

Mental health is a problem. Unless we have a Minority Report way of predicting crimes, it will be hard to predict which people will go "crazy" enough to pick up a gun and go on a mass killing spree. I'm not even going to get into the gun control debate. Too tired.
