All of my wats.
I liked her previous offer better.
And I'll still answer "Canada would probably be nice!" when people ask me where else I'd live if given the choice :P
I mean really any political promise, grand or small is technically buying votes.

Could worry about the TPP and whether Harper is selling out middle class jobs or his slavish pandering to Israel that's destroyed Canada's credibility in the world too if you wanted.
Or his omnibus crime bills that add regressive minimum sentences that will only increase crime or his attempts to shut down safe injection sites in Vancouver to pander to his suburban base in Ontario.
Or bill C-51 and the erosion of personal freedoms. I don't like our government arbitrarily being able to strip citizenship from people or lock them away without even charging them with a crime.
There's lots to hate about Harper.
Edit: Re: The TPP, cut the ground out from under dairy farmers then pay 4.3 billion dollars (!) of taxpayer's money to subsidize their industry. It makes no sense.
But all that isn't why I'm not voting for Harper. Something about the way every single action he takes is cynically designed to appeal to some micro-constituency of voters rubs me the wrong way. It's a permanent election campaign. He doesn't govern to make Canada better, he governs solely to win the next election.
Many politicians do that, but few so transparently. He treats voters like they're idiots and it's offensive.

Reserving my judgment on TPP until it's public, but aside from automakers needing to become more competitive I'm not sure how it "sells out the middle class" based on early releases...many of which changed during negotiations and became much less dramatic than people were whining about. Nevermind the lifting of import bans on NA vehicles to Japan as well as huge tariff reductions overseas for our exports. As for the dairy farmers, opening up our supply controlled industry is not a bad thing at all and the 4.3 billion...over 15 years...is to soften the blow, yes. At most we'll see cheese from New Zealand showing up, or even see some price reduction from local dairy producers to be competitive. Our dairy industry, like the wheat council for so long, was a goddamn monopoly. A lot of the fear from TPP strikes me as very isolationist.
Surely you're not against increased minimum sentences for sex offenders? Increasing mandatory minimums for nonviolent drug crimes is not cool, but have you read the limits? Unless you're driving around with a goddamn hockey bag full of weed there are no minimum sentences, nevermind that there has to be evidence of intent to traffic. Anything under an ounce is more discretionary and you've got pretty shitty luck if a cop stops you with a fuckin eighth of an ounce and actually does anything about it beyond throwing it in the bin.
C-51 has no provisions for holding people without charging them for inordinate periods of time beyond 7 days. If there is sufficient cause. I have no qualms about not protecting people who have flown overseas to kill people either. Fuck them. They're not citizens of this country any more. Why are we protecting people who don't represent our values? No matter what colour you are, blue, red, orange...green(?), I don't think anyone values the whole "shoot and blow people up who are different" thing. The best part is that I personally am someone (one of the few, like 900,00ish) who could get hit with it as a person with dual citizenship here and in the UK. But I don't care, because I have no intention of spouting pro-terrorist shit on the internet or declaring a fuckin' fatwa any time soon.
