I think a worst case scenario, where there are terror attacks smashing oil infrastructure across the peninsula, Houthi irregulars (and possibly whats left of the Yemeni Army) are attacking across the border in the south, ISIS is rolling across the border with Iraq and trying for Mecca, while Iran uses Iraq as a front to grab the oilfields (doubtless "for the security of the Shia population") and all while the Russians "accidentally" bomb any organized Saudi military resistance would be more an Nightmare than a "Spring" of any sort, but it would very much be one which the hereditary dictatorship in Riyadh has created for itself.

Which would be why Hezbollah and Iran have been sending in ground troops as fast as they can:"Iranian troops and Hezbollah 'massing in Syria for ground battle against rebels'" - the Moscow-Damascus-Tehran-Baghdad axis has their cannon fodder. Now, whether or not it will actually work (and exactly what it's intended to do...) is another question, but there's certainly a coup de main in progress. What I really don't know is if whether the Russians (and company) intend to just push and keep pushing until Assad's regime is secure and all the Islamists are wiped out (basically, the Second Chechen War, Syria variation, which will be really, really ugly), or if they're going to try and push the Islamic State elsewhere (also ugly, but differently so) - I just can't help thinking about how much Russia would benefit (via oil price), if Saudi Arabia's "family oil syndicate masquerading as a government" were to develop large, ISIS-flavored stability and security problems (I suppose a telling factor will be watching what happens to Raqqah as the war progresses).

"Saudi King Salman hospitalized after erratic behavior"
Saudi King Salman, said to suffer from dementia, was hospitalized after “he went crazy” and attempted to injure himself, sources said.
Arabic-language al-Ahd news agency reported on Oct. 8 that the 79-year-old Salman was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) section of King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. Sources said Salman had to be restrained and placed under heavy sedation.
Due to the king’s unstable condition, Saudi officials have called off plans to move Salman to a U.S. hospital, the sources said.
"In today’s America, conservatives who actually want to conserve are as rare as liberals who actually want to liberate. The once-significant language of an earlier era has had the meaning sucked right out of it, the better to serve as camouflage for a kleptocratic feeding frenzy in which both establishment parties participate with equal abandon" (Taking a break from the criminal, incompetent liars at the NSA, to bring you the above political observation, from The Archdruid Report.)

1) Even more amusing how you feel the need to specifically denote that there are "well-behaved" immigrants
2) Snorting derisively at racism...then making generalized racist remarks...yeah..so you are what...13?
3) When did a couple maladjusted arabs constitute anything resembling a large swath of the planet?
