Do You Ban AV+IoC?

Curious about what % of the BG player base bans AV+IoC seeing how doing so dramatically reduces queue time?

100 Horde, I ban WSG and AB.

Reasons:
1. I don't do BGs as Horde at level 100, I just do Ashran since we roll the alliance there, when we get rolled in BGs
2. My low levels will specifically queue for AV and IoC (instead of randoms) with hopes of getting turtles (some brackets are GREAT for that), as I am grinding to Bloodthirsty, and I normally would only queue for 2-3 BGs a session, so i'd prefer those to be a big turtle match
3. When I unsub and just play my lowbies, I'm always just doing BGs, so that means nothing but WSG and AB.

As horde, I ban them because we lose a big chunk of the time.

It sucks though, considering AV is my favorite battleground.

As alliance you have to ban them or you get 20min + queues

As alliance I only ban Strand of the ancient because for some reason my Alliance teams always suck there. On my horde I ban those 2 but I'm barely ever over there.

Actually not that combination. I ban Strand of the Ancient and Isle of Conquest.

Alterac Valley is the birth home of my most active PvP career, I will always enjoy it. And for Strand of the Ancients, cannot approve, it can be cheated too easily and not really fun.

No they aren't, stop spreading misinformation.

I resentfully blacklist Alterac Valley and Isle of Conquest purely because of the queue problem. Blacklisting has added more problems than it has solved IMO because the most popular blacklisted maps aren't fun any more because the only people left funnelled into them are bots or players that are of the "let them win" variety. They thought the problem was Call to Arms - a feature that has been in the game almost as long as battlegrounds themselves - removed it, and the problem with queue times still exist.

Both 40 man battlegrounds have the potential to be the ultimate place for warfare and the best PvP Warcraft has to offer.

I ban those two as Horde. They generally lose 40 man battlegrounds for some reason.

Yeah, on both my horde and alliance characters. Long queues otherwise and they're PvE BGs which is fairly boring, I'll never finish Battlemaster solely because of the AV tower defends also.

I wish there was a third option because Stand of the Ancients exists and it seems to pop quite a lot.

Isn't the achievement you need in AV one that actually encourages PvP in what you call a PvE battleground...?

I only ban Strand of the Ancients, that Bg is boring as hell :P

Yeah. I mean I have to since it brings down queues, it's not that I don't like them. Even IoC I like as horde because if you just blow all your cooldowns on one or two glaives at the start you have already contributed more than 39 other people. Especially easy if you can stealth. But yeah haven't played either of them for more than a year it feels.

Nope, even though AV currently is horde dominated most of the time since the bg balance turned to alliance in other bgs, but it's still one of the best bgs.

As alliance.
I ban Strand of the Ancients mostly out of old habit
and Silvershard Mines cause it's still 0% alliance win rate, it's pretty much the only bg alliance cannot ever win.
