    I hate the people.

Like many other things I love the idea of my country but loath the application.

Poland's not that bad. It's geographically diverse, has many sights to see and places to go. I guess that's something to like.

I dislike the neocon propaganda we've been feeding ourselves for 25 years now as backlash after the fall of communism. Reagan, Thatcher and our local clone, the Balcerowicz dude - they're still treated as authorities, if not fucking heroes. Also, the Roman Catholic Church has all our balls in a vice.

Dislike: Half the population having a new pro-immigration stance (And the fact that they're protesting over us not allowing 'enough' in) just because of some dead brat on a beach.
The restrictions Cameron keeps putting on porn
Almost every political party we have
Obsession with morals in politics (It's a world wide issue)

    Like: Our history
    The weather
The fact that natural disasters almost never happen and when they do they're far from disasters.
    Our wide variety of accents

Generally the things our country has naturally I like, but the humans on it are becoming insufferable.

    United States likes:

    - Wealth and opportunity to acquire it
    - Access to the majority of the best universities in the world
    - We have the majority of the top scientific research institutions in the world
    - The safety of our geographic and military position
    - The enormous scope of the country allows for more geographic and cultural diversity than most nations
    - Craft brewing - the revolution that kicked off about 20 years ago in the United States has shaped what good beer is everywhere

    United States dislikes:

    - An incoherently constructed medical funding system that costs insane quantities of money for mediocre results
    - An inefficient and incompetent federal government that's grown too large in scope; many nations have much more effective governments
    - Foreign policy that fluctuates between "stupid" and "evil" depending who the leader is at a given moment
    - A strain of anti-intellectualism that's really unpleasant is very common
    - Religiosity

Aeula seems to be the UK. Is a Brit really not allowed to be proud of their history? An enormous part of why the modern world has the technological advances that it does owes its history to the Brits. Former British colonies that were influenced by their English roots are some of the best places in the world to live - the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong.

Manipulation. I do not like the severe amount of manipulation people employ on others.

Oh, that's quite a long list, not really sure if everything is accurate, cuz haven't been to Russia for more than 8 years. Here are some highlights.

Likes: Cuisine, soviet accent (dun have one, but dutch friends always ask to fake it, dunno why, but girls love it), rich history, nature, architecture, ballet.

Dislikes: Average Joe's mindset, many gloomy people in streets, government, its future is in jeopardy, climate.

Agree to disagree? I'm not trying to troll you or really pick a fight. I just find the concept fairly comical. Brit history is froth with cruelty, exploitation, violence, pillaging, slavery, extortion, and all the other sex drugs and rock'n'roll of history. Frankly, if the names were changed I'm not quite sure many people could tell the difference between a British History book or A song of Ice and Fire.

We weren't really talking about "pride" though just like and dislike. I don't "like" American history because it only paints the painfully clear picture of how "stupid" we as well as how hypocritical our current foreign policy is structured. I often wonder what the true percentage of Americans really know or understand what our "founding fathers" did to the natives here or how those natives currently live and survive.

Nothing I hate about the country I live in. And it's only mine as far as the fact I do. I don't dislike and geographical location that way. Unless we are talking about weather. Otherwise over all human beings in general are disappointing to me regardless to any other detail besides the stupid shit people choose to do everywhere.

I like that I am free to practice my religion here, where in many other parts of the world I'd be killed or worse for it.

I dislike how people here kind of have a weird worship of the military. I will never understand that culture.
Religion isn't the absence of reason. It's merely the presence of faith.
