BlizzCon's Art Contest 2015 and my woodcarving

What do you think, guys, can i join the art contest with my Icon of Shadows, carved from wood?

It's not like- Original Art. It's more like a replica. Intentionally. The sole difference is that the small voodoo doll is a bit higher, but that was the only way for me to carve it from one piece of wood.

That's awesome! How much would it cost to own something like this? I'm sure it took a very long time to do but I'd love to have one.

Looks fantastic! My only criticism would be that it looks too new and clean.

That's beautiful. What kind of wood did you use to make this carving?

I used linden for the base, that is 1 whole piece, the tiki masks and the tusks are from a sort of birch.
There are some more pics at my FB profile.

It's pretty beautiful. I'd submit it for sure - even if it doesn't qualify for some weird reason, it's bound to make people take notice. Certainly deserves to be recognized in a Blizzard Fan Art gallery somewhere.

Not right now, no. I'm not so confident as a painter and don't wanna ruin it with bad colours. And this 1 is lacquered alrdy. Maybe a next one. I'm thinking about the Forsaken crest. Or other...we'll see.

    No way. This is superb.

Re: painting, your craftsmanship is too doting not to have all the details drawn out for appreciation. Try analogs of pieces to get comfortable with your choices of color and transparency, then go for it.
