    Halloween movies.

What movies do you watch to get in the Halloween mood?

mostly horror flicks. I like to watch supernatural/ghost story movies. Also watch elm street movies. I also usually watch nightmare before christmas at least once.

All of the horror genre. I love it. Suspenseful ghost/haunting movies, torture porn, slasher flicks. I grew up on the big 3 (Jay, Fred, and Mike). I actually really like the Paranormal Activity movies - i like seeing them in the theater, as you don't get distracted, it's really dark... you can't escape the build up and jump moments.

Horror movies. Don't have specific ones, just whichever one I'm in the mood for at the time. I'm a long, long time horror fan so I have tons to choose from, I got your Halloween/F13 slasher stuff, I got zombies, both Romero(Night/Dawn of the Dead) and non-Romero(Let Sleeping Corpses Lie), as well as "fast zombies"(Return of the Living Dead), I got vampires, ranging from Lugosi and Lee to the modern takes like Near Dark and 30 Days of Night, I got the weird and surreal(Hellraiser, Phantasm), I got Italian giallo(Deep Red, Tenebrae), I've got horror/action hybrids(Dog Soldiers), I got comedy horror(Evil Dead series), I got it all, you name it I have or can easily get it, so it really all depends on my mood

You really think you could slip that in the list and nobody notices?

Yeah, that term is pretty commonly used to refer to that sort of horror movie where a person/group of people are captured then tortured/killed. It's one of my least fave horror subgenres, personally, I think the Saw movies are awful(although maybe they got better later on, after the first few I quit watching them), Hostel is terrible, Human Centipede is well, unique, but not something actually worth watching...

I tried watching human centipede while eating taco bell. It didn't work out well for me.

    I also like them all.

Even the really terrible B-Rated movies like the aforementioned Human Centipede.

Every other year I'd watch one or two a night in October (along with a few per month throughout the year). This year I've been really busy and tired. I've only actually finished another viewing of AHS season 1. Very upsetting. It's my favorite holiday movie genre.

I'm a big fan of stuff like the Phantasm movies. They can be somewhat cheesy at times, but I think they're genuinely decent horror movies.

I'm a little confused about when the 5th one is coming out. IMDB says Halloween this year, but everywhere else says "to be determined" for a release date, and the wikipedia page for Phantasm 5 says "2016" for the release date. If IMDB is right, I'm pretty excited. It's just that IMDB is the only place I've seen any reference to a 10/31/2015 release date, so I don't feel too confident about it.

They probably need to hurry it up though. Angus Scrimm is like 90 years old now. :| Even Mike is over 50 now, and I think Reggie is in his late 60s.

Trick 'R Treat has been a yearly staple since it came out.

    Pretty much this.

I like to weave in an occasional Goosebumps episode or Are You Afraid of the Dark for nostalgia.
