I know there are alot of windwalker players out there like
myself who play a windwalker monk. I mean, there has to be.
I can't be the only one who plays a windwalker monk, or can i?
At least i hope there are alot of windwalker players out there.
Anyways, my question is what are your keybinds? In particular,
what is your keybind for your Rising Sun Kick and Blackout Kick?
I have been using this castsequence macro and honestly, i just
can't see myself playing without it.
The reason I ask is because i have been told that i shouldn't
really use this macro. I have been told that it is a bad idea to use castsequence macros at all for your abilities and that you should use separate keybinds for your abilities.
So anyways, what are your keybinds for your Rising sun kick and Blackout kick?

I click T75 talent and fortifying brew even though I shouldn't. I have small hands so I've run out of binds that use shift in my comfort zone, and I am unable to hit ctrl and alt modifiers without moving my hands in a bad position.
Hard topic, really depends on what you're going for. Obviously pvp players need extremely different keybinds from pve ones.
I started WoW very late, the day I started was mostly spent discovering the world of keybinds and macros with some friends. Since then, I've changed things around a lot, but it allways takes some getting used to.
Whenever I change something in my binds, macro or UI overall, I feel like I play worse for a while until I get used to it and then benefit from the changes. Rotation is something you want to be mechanical, you must allways be thinking about something else (in pvp as in pve.)
My point is, keybind is something you don't wanna fuck up. Its really hard to change it once you've set them and got used to it, but at times you'll want to change some things. Better get as much as you can right the first time.
From my point of view, its not as important to get basic spells on good binds as it is paramount to be able to perform things which are probably gonna be cast together close to one another. Its also important to have things which are reactive on good binds. Kick, defensive cooldowns - you don't wanna reach for Shift+5 for fortifying brew like I do. You don't want a long series of modificator for a kick (I feel guilty of having it on Shift+Q.)
You also wanna be able to quickly chain some spells. Its fine if serenity and black out kick are not easy to chain since you could just macro a blackout kick into serenity. However, chi brew, tiger eye brew and other thing you might wanna do in between GCDs? you don't wanna be derping around for .5 seconds to cast all that.
Windwalker, in my opinion, is one of the classes that benefits the most from having well laid out keybinds. Having easy transitions from Tigereye Brew and Roll to any other ability is essential. One of the most helpful things for me was using a mouse with extra buttons. I personally use a Logitech G502. It has 3 buttons on the left side, and 2 additional buttons to the left of mouse click. For the purpose of my explanation I will refer to two of the side buttons as MB1 and MB2 (The third side button I use for Push to Talk), and the top buttons as MB3 and MB4. My binds are as follows, and I will launch into my justification afterwards.

I've made several changes to my bindings over the last year, with the goal of making transitions smoother and reducing mistakes. Moving Storm, Earth, and Fire from 'SHIFT + 3' to 'A' was more helpful than I expected. It is an incredibly useful ability and should have a fast binding. Moving my Roll and FSK to my mouse reduced the amount of times I unintentionally tapped them and rolled into fire. Moving my Expel Harm from 'SHIFT + MB2' to 'D' makes stacking Chi much less painful. Having Karma on 'T' instead of 'CTRL + MB1' makes those split second defensive uses easier.
I think the most important part of keybinding is finding something that works for you. That being said, I think people spend too little time improving their keybindings because they are afraid of change or worried they won't be able to learn it. It does take practice, but with the expansion winding down it's a good time to make these changes in preparation for Legion.
