Its about a few other things too. A big one being the US for-profit prison system. I didn't know that all US military hats and up to a third of US office furniture are made by inmates who are unable to refuse working and being paid a quarter a day. Essentially anti-capitalism.

But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. There was a big spike in crime back in the 1990s, voters were concerned and politicians, always looking for a vote, scrambled to make voters feel safe. A lot of laws were passed to make it easier to lock people up for a long time.
Bad thing about this is, crime is way down today and it's pretty difficult for the system to reverse itself and stop locking people away in prison. What politician is going to tell voters he is soft on crime and will release criminals if elected.
So democracy happened.

Yeah, democracy happened.
Im not sure how thats an argument.. two party systems are inherently polarised. .. I guess thats a big part of the black & white mindset of american policies.. I don see how you can basically look at all problems and only have two solutions to everything.
..then again, judging by the tea party and the goverment shutting down not too long ago I guess it doesnt really work..
