The small population of crazies do not get much attention in the general population. Now on the internet, that is a different story. Feminism is a brand that gets sold much easier than egalitarian, so people stick with feminist.

It would essentially be penalizing guys that might not only choose to be single, but other men who want to cohabitate but either hasn't found a suitable mate or cannot get one.

Oh I gotcha. I generally see it as fun, as well as learning why people do things in a society is interesting to me. Not to mention when addressing how to reduce a negative activity, it is good to have an idea of the causes of it.

Social theories are not just about feelings, but what causes something like an increase in violence in an area over a certain time period that isn't at war. Understanding the underlying causes of these types of things can help offset what is going on. Since society is well, run by society, learning how society functions helps understand why something happens, as well as how to alter something that is viewed as bad on a large scale.
