How good is Draught of Souls? I feel this trinket is insanely good, and it sims as my best. With the shoulders, it does a lot of damage if I use it within the master assassin buff. Still not sure if sims are using this perfectly, and it loses value if I don't use the shoulders or not. It doesn't exactly line up with vanish/sprint cd.

Anyone tested this trinket, with or without shoulders?

So, I've gotten extremely lucky this week and got my convergence of fate trinket as well as other tier pieces. I'm currently running 4 set + legendary bracers + 2x gul'dan relics with increased shadowblade duration (16 seconds) + weaponmaster. I did some target dummy testing to see what my shadowblades uptime would be. This is without lust, and conserving shadow dance charges as I normally would during a raid. I put up a stopwatch to show when my blades run out (1:05) and when my cooldown is back up (1:31). After doing a few of these, I noticed that the times did not change much. A couple of seconds on either side due to RNG of energy procs. With lust, the uptime of shadowblades should be very very high. The best times i've managed to get without lust is a 1:11 uptime (reset was at 1:35). Simming my character yields ~660-670k DPS.

-EDIT: Something else I noticed after simming my character was how high haste was valued for me. This is my pawn string

EDIT 2: Tried using a drums and doing the same test. I managed 1:15 uptime on shadow blades with the CD resetting at 1:25. This is an 88% uptime on shadowblades.

With A Gul'dan relic but MoS (no WP) I'm in a real raid environment at 52-55% uptime on SB.
88% seem really high, even with WP.

it was expected to be 70%+ with the bracers/CoF combo. He's spot on. Might even be higher with some aoe to speed things up.

After checking some logs it depends on bosses.
Krosus / Trilliax are about 60% uptime, Aluriel is 50%.
62% is the highiest i've seen (20ish logs)

Whose logs are you looking at? What is their gear set up?

and weapon master makes a pretty huge difference if you're going for shadow blades up-time.

There are very few logs with WP and bracers.

It would be nice if we knew what relics he was using. Using 2 to 3 shadowblade duration relics could have been enough to bring him to 70% if he is not already using them.

It doesn't break stealth so if you use it at the start then go 'balls deep', as it were, then you can make the most of it's on use. I try to line it up with vanish if I can and lower energy so I don't waste so much over the 3 seconds. That said, I don't actively try to line it up because it's a strange CD length. I just try to keep an eye and if it will line up with a Sprint or Vanish then I'll hold it.

Pretty much perfect timing to fit in two full Shadow Blades. 77% uptime!

Well, what is a regular raid environment depends on what the player regularly raids (in my opinion :-)). Some people will never touch mythic but will clear normal/heroic every week (e.g. myself). Where as some people will be regularly killing Krosus on mythic every week (e.g, I'm guessing, you are one such person).

That aside, I linked the log mostly out of interest, was quite impressed to see such high uptime.

Our guild is currently working on mythic krosus. We're going to try him again most likely tomorrow night or monday night. If my internet is working (i'll be in a hotel) I'll post logs of it.

What is it with Akaari's Soul not appearing on others damage meters as part of my damage, but a seperate entity? While all other "pets" get shown correctly. Any way to fix it aside from messaging addon authors?

not when you're running with a second sub rogue.

I can see my own soul rip damage, but not the other dude's. Gives me false hope all the time. He only ever beats me by his soul rip dmg alone, it's disheartening

I think there's a ticket in reporting it, so whenever tercero gets around to it.

we were running double sub rogue up until night hold (then the assa boots dropped for me) and it always worked

you wont see it during the fight, but at the end details corrects itself
