Free to play players get screwed over again

Today there was a Hearthstone patch for the new expansion and the Explorer's League Adventure is actually available right now as a "pre-purchase" for real money only. What a complete joke DDDDDD. What's more is that if you buy it you can start using the cards immediately against the free-to-play players that can't yet obtain them!

The rest of us have to wait at least a couple of days before we can buy it with ingame gold!

Is this the future of expansions from now on? Free-to-play-later, pay-to-play-now?

they support the game and you dont. paying players should always be given preference because without them there is no game.

Is 2 days that "a big deal" ?

However, this is new. They have put a hard time-sync on an expansion, this hasn't been done before afaiaa. In the future this time delay will increase for sure.

    BS.

If the game is f2p all customers, paying or not, should access the same content at same time. The only difference is the currency they obtain it with.
    what is a Healer saying:
AFK means: Attack, fight, kill! - Healer is bored with spamming hots.
WTF means: Way to fight! - Healer loves you for pulling with pyroblast.
OOM means: Out Of Mobs! - Healer needs a challenge.

It's only 2 cards, I don't see the big deal.

    The real question is...

Is 2 cards that big of a deal?

Except in this case the new cards provide an advantage.
In games like WoW you wouldnt get punished for not getting the latest xpac because you wouldn't play with or fight against players who did, but this is very much in the realm of pay2win.

Pay2Win..2 days of getting the Forgotten Torch and Explorers hat = pay to win..No. One of which is a card that will likely never see play.

That's true in theory, but in practice you absolutely have to buy the latest xpac. You just can't do anything without it, except maybe leveling alts. There is literally no valid reason to have your subscription active if you're not on the latest expansion.

This thread is definitely misinformed and rather than allow it to spread that misinformation, I am closing it.

While you can pre-purchase, you do not get access to "all of the cards".
