Internal aid agency planning document reveals Liberals’ refugee plan

The working plan shows 1,000 refugees will be flown to Canada every day, with considerations for ‘lodging sites’

The new Liberal government is developing plans to fly 1,000 Syrian refugees a day out of Amman, Jordan, according to a planning document obtained by SiriusXM’s Everything Is Political.

Refugees will then be flown to Toronto, Montreal and the military base in Trenton, Ont., the planning document shows. The internal aid agency report comes from a group tasked with helping to fulfill a Liberal campaign promise to get 25,000 Syrian refugees into Canada by the end of the year.

Once in Canada, the new arrivals will begin a “community integration” process, which starts with a 12-week stay in “interim lodging sites.” The number and location of these sites is still unknown, according to the document, but military bases and even docked cruise ships are being considered in Quebec and Ontario.

According to the Nov. 10 document, the working plan—which is still in development—would have refugees identified and selected by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, then put in a new, fast-track system: “expedited overseas processing, including a ‘fit to fly’ medical assessment to be performed primarily by the International Organization for Migration [IOM].” Canada is part of the IOM, along with 156 other countries.

According to the document, “the plan is now approved,” and “official dialogue between the Government of Canada and Provincial/Territorial will start tomorrow,” referring to Nov. 11.

The document also reveals that the only departure point so far is Amman, Jordan, with up to three flights a day leaving for Canada. In an earlier interview, however, new Immigration Minister John McCallum told the Everything Is Political radio show that planes could also take off from Turkey and Lebanon.

The document says “limited primary health care” will also be provided by some support agencies in the interim lodgings. The immigration minister has already confirmed that up to 11,000 refugees might have to be housed on military bases. When contacted to confirm the details in these aid documents, the minister’s office had no comment.

Your country is three times the size of Sweden and is commiting to take 1/10 the number of refugees...

Seriously. Way to vastly overblow this.

More fearmongering bullcrap from people that'd rather see these people die in their homes rather than escape a country that is literally a failed state with zero operable infrastructure.

In other threads on here Endus and others would have us believe that every Canadian wants 10 refugees to move into their own home and bunk up with them. Who knew you didn't all feel that way, color me shocked.

I was obviously talking population-wise. Land area is fairly irrelevant in terms of capacity for taking refugees, unless a country is literally so overcrowded that there isn't room for any more people, which isn't the case for any countries in the world, save a few tiny island nations.

Its 25k refugees, we will live lol. If it was 800k like Germany id probably agree this is too many in comparison to Canadian population. We have the territory, the problem is that it is not developed and well unless those 800k immigrants agree to not clutter our major cities and spread out, it would be an unreasonable services strain. 25k is more then manageable. Plus they will be forced to attend english school as soon as they get in Ontario and french school in Quebec. Child are put in schools as well immediately upon arrival. Our public school system is like totally anti religious now, at least as far as Ontario and Quebec are concerned, i didnt attend in other provinces. So they will kinda have to adapt fast, if they think they can pray in school lol.

You cannot live everywhere in Canada, because it is could, or nature was not formed enough, so there is not 23 times more space.

Also, with all the people fleeing the middle east, they will depopulize this region, which will also only help extremist or create a wasteland.

Where as 25k is an ok number. Not like other states in europe. And if you devide them accordingly, so that they all dont live in the same place, no ghettos will arise. So you should not really be concerned.

Canada is huge but the weather is very harsh in most of it.

The unfortunate issue is that there is no way of telling who is a true refugee and who is a jihadist. Every single country that has opened its borders to refugees will be importing terror right alongside them.

Actually it's not most western civilized countries came to be in the modern era, post 18th-19th century. W/o nationalism and indepence wars most nations wouldn't be what they are now.

Actually they didn't. Unions did, aka public sector did. When he promised them nice pays and better pensions it's an easy vote.
