New Sub rogue, could use a peak at logs!

Hello guys,

fairly new on the rogue. I feel I am doing pretty well on combat, but I am missing something on Sub.

Even though its reaver, 60% rupture seems too low as a starting point. SnD should never drop, cos you'll always have HaT procs. Only 4 vanishes seems low, you have 4 set. You could probably have squeezes out another dance too.

- You are missing several vanish usages. Always monitor vanish CD. It is worth to hold vanish for 6 sec if you have a dance comming up and 12 sec (as I recall it) if you have sr+sd+ring comming up, due to buff scaling.
- Never use preparation if you have less than 50 sec left on vanish CD, unless you are certain you will miss a vanish usage. You used vanish 30sec after the 1st vanish, in the opener. You should at this point have less than 50 sec left on the vanish CD.
- Low rupture uptime - This needs to be 100%
- SnD Uptime - This needs to be 100%
- Dont use hemo
- Pool energy. Never drop below 60 energy. You always want to have some extra energy for trinket and weapon proccs and you want to remain at a high energy so you can easily adapt to changes in the encounter
- Especially important to pool energy before vanish and shadow dance. If you start at 0 energy you will get 1, maybe 2 ambushes from a vanish. Always pool to something like 90 energy before vanish comes of CD and before SD comes of CD. Netting in 1-2-3 ambushes everytime will significantly increase your dmg.
- You missed a shadow dance usage. Watch the CD and use it when it comes of CD, every time!

Really need to work on your open and you really just need to read the sub guide there is a ton of good info in there. I could help you out with your performance but you are just missing some basic mechanics to the spec in general such as

1. You didnt have rupture on the target until 9 seconds into the fight which is a 30% dps loss during one of your highest damage phases of the fight.

2. You are using vanish on the open for the 5 CP and then you are ambushing 2 times to put yourself at 20 energy then popping dance with very little energy which is a huge waste.

You really need to go over the Rylix guide to sub as there is some great information in there which will help you with the pure basics of the spec because currently you do not have the spec knowledge to really start trying to maximize your performance.

Rylix spent a ton of time putting together a really great resource with a video that explains the open and the general rotation and how to play the spec. If you can master this information then the really technical things about the spec will just start happening for you but that is where you need to start.

I dont want to sound rude but if you have put very little effort into learning the spec and how to play it in general usually you will not be received well. There are a ton of people on this forum who love helping people out and devoting their free time and effort into helping you improve we just expect the same effort from the people asking.
