What is the strongest now? Bleed or poison build ?

I really don't like outlaw gameplay, dmg is ok, but the gameplay is just not fun for me. So im gonna try assassination before i simply reroll. But Every guide and such have different builds. Some say Elaborate planning and agonizing poisons, Some say Hemorrhage and exsanguinate. but what is the best build now after the 23rd hoitfix ? With 30% buff to deadly poison is it worth going agonizing over it ?

I'm also curious how assa will perform now. Will it finally compete with outlaw? I personally love the dot playstyle so seeing a rogue spec relying on it is brilliant.

EP/Agonizing is the best for single target. Mastery is pretty important if you play Agonizing though. If for example you only had Crit/Vers gear, then Hemo/Exsang would probably be better for you.

The damage buffs are mostly for AoE, and Assassination uses EP/Exsang in Mythic+.

Vendetta relics are very important for both specs, so try to get those.

IM waiting for the 2t/cleave/aoe sims to finish after new changes. But sins ST is waaaaaaaaay behind otl and especially sub in mythic gear.

Im sure aethys will post them soom so he will do the honors.

Thanks. My relics are really bad since i kinda mained outlaw from the start, but will work on that.

In my current gear i have 88.7% mastery.

with incoming buff, its better to take exa (for the deadly buff) instead agonizing?

Agonizing should still be a little bit better on pure single target fights, but anything with target swapping / aoe / cleave you'd be better off as EP/Exsang.

ok but...agonizing poison its recognize as deadly buff? because 30% its a big buff.
    i think no...but i need a confirm

if not...imho its better to switch to exa and use deadly poison (30% buff) as lethal.

  11. #1651
While a 30% buff might sound like a lot, keep in mind that deadly poison doesn't deal that much damage, and if you're using an exsang build you're likely not stacking mastery.

The buffs are aimed at Assassination's weak AoE, not the single target damage.

In raids it is fine but in mythic+ dungeons it lags behind, one of the reasons is actually the reliance on Bag of Tricks proc at the right time and the mobs not being moved out of it.

I've been running dungeons with Master Poisoner over Elaborate Planning anyway and it helps a lot, with the changes to Poison Knives, BoT & DP in general this should be amplified somewhat.

    Looking forward to it

How accurate is the icy veins guide? Says not to pick hemo.

Icy Veins guide doesnt seem to be made for the min/maxxer. Finding info in this forum will be better nearly every time.

If it's a tiny % increase to use hemo i'd rather not, but it just caught me by surprise that the guide said not to, i know some icy vein guids are poorly done.

How accurate is shadowcraft, I get the feeling it was not updated. The enchants are just plain wrong.

I think the only way assn will scale well, will be the focus on the poison build. The artifact ability is just so awkward when running the bleed spec. I wish the assn was a combination of bleeds and poison. At least make hemo baseline and apply for poisons and bleeds. Then you have the option for agonizing poision versus exgansuiate for flavor.

assassination is literally a spec which combines poison and bleeds. you focus on one of them but the spec still revolves about both poison and bleeds.

Hey guys, just a quick question about Sin, i've been told to always get 6 CP on RUPTURE and almost always, depends on the situation, on ENVENOM, is that the best way? the guy is a real beast at rogue and WoW in general so... anyone can confirm this?

I have a different definition when we talk about specs its the rotation. The only active ability is artifact, everything else is passive. unlike bleeds, hemo, rupture, garrote, exg.
