PSA: Your Mythic lockout isn't changing in 6.2.3.

Mythic going x-realm does not mean you can join and leave any boss at any point in the instance like Heroic/Normal. You are still locked to the bosses you complete for that week. Don't be "that guy" when you get invited to a group and you can't do shit because you're already saved to another run.

    Thanks.

Most of the people wanting to join have never raided mythic, they've just pugged HC. They have no idea what a raid lock is.

This is actually a good PSA, well done!

Does this mean more ppl can potentially steal your lockout

Right, because raid locks are some elitist mythic development that we haven't had to deal with for a decade now.

More or less. Be careful who you raid with.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

yes, there can only be 20 people inside one raid lock ID at given time. So if they really want to be an asshole they can just run inside the instance again and AFK there effectivelly taking the 20th spot. Also if you leave bosses unkillled for next day for example, the guy can make his own raid and continue from the point you left at.

Because raid lockouts are such a new concept, they've only been here since vanilla. And for the longer part of the game's excistance every raid had a lockout.

You've clearly never had to lead a PUG raid or semi-PUG raid. People are still complaining about not getting loot on that boss they actually already killed earlier that week. God damn, there are some thick people out there.

They should do away with that ID based lock this late into the tier tbh.

It will create a lot of nuisances on the group finder. You just spent a bit of time assembing the group of 20, oh look, the instance is 8/13! Some drooling idiots immediately click "Accept" on the pop-up box and look, now you don't just have 1 saved guy, you have like 4 of them. Especially now, when people actually got used to normal/heroic raid locks.

To prevent abusing it for farming Archimonde's mount, you could make Mannoroth a boss with ID based lock. Aka you kill Mannoroth, you're now saved to specific ID and can't join other mythic raids.

Nice try posting about it, and maybe it will help someone, but I think the people who regularly read this forum already know how lockouts work. Those that don't are still going to come here and post their same "SOMEONE STOLE MY LOCKOUT!" or "wtf Blizzard, I can't raid with my guild b/c I killed a boss in a pug earlier in the week" threads.

you think people would've learned this with Mythic Cross realm SOO, Highmaul, and Foundry, but nope. There will still be that guy.

It's not a good idea to isolate the forum to only those that regularly visit it.

Eh, people like that, you wouldn't be able to do Mythic with anyway.

To only quote part of a post, where the other part has relevant information.

I said nothing about isolating the forum (whatever that means) to only certain people. Just that while the PSA is a nice idea, I don't think the intended audience is likely to see it.
