I think a benevolent dictatorship or a philosopher king would be the best form of government. Sadly they just dont last more than one, maybe 2 generations.

And that's why we demonstrably haven't found anything better long-term than a strongly social, progressive democracy, Scandinavia-style. Too bad we're busy dismantling them in so many places for the fleeting monetary gain (not to say straight up greed) of the 0.1%.
I would like a Geniocratic Demarchy.
If you are an intelligent person, as defined by society at large, you are placed in a pool. People in that pool are randomly selected to rule for a period of time.
Democracy that removes a candidate from the running the instant they say something blatantly false. So no one would ever be able to run and then we could be ruled by cats.
A government small enough to fit into bedrooms and vaginas.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
I would like to see more of a locally focused tribal type government. The national government would only exist for coordinating between the groupings (such as for national defense) and for the most part each tribe would make it's own rules. It might only last for a few hundred years but it would be nice to have things be a lot simpler. Want to be a doctor? Apprentice yourself to the tribe's doctor and learn the art directly from them. This would also decentralize a lot of our population and that way people could be around mostly like minded people.
It would be nice if decisions didn't have to be made taking into account both the people who wanted to only associate with a small community of a few dozen and people who literally want 5 million other people to be within walking distance.
Before him there was a Doctor Forbin who thought that would work too.

Spoilers - he was wrong!
I think you need a bit of socialism and capitalism. You need capitalism entice people to work harder to achieve a better life but at the same time you need a bit of socialism to make sure poor people who contribute to society have the basic necessities in life. Thats a simplistic idea but it gives you the gist on what I believe
One run by me....
Democracy is great in concept, but there are far too many stupid people allowed to vote usually for it to work.
Benevolent dictatorship.
Benevolent and competent AI is tempting, but I think it greatly underestimates the importance of charismatic leadership. Leaders in government don't just make decisions. This is a line that shaped, and continues to shape, many, and it has little to do with policy decisions:
Only smart people can vote.
Only people in a certain profession expertise area can vote for representatives for that specific expertise in government.
One strike and your out policy (declarations, corruption, etc)
Boards of elected experts make policy around their expertise area.
A government should put their own people first, regardless of morale and ethics.
Best type of government is no government
If all of mankind was good fair and just you wouldn't need government but we are not so government is required but the less it is required the better off you are a better reflection of society
the more government that is required the less freedoms and liberties you will have
I conceder government as a necessary evil

A dictatorship of the Proleteriat
Benevolence and social hierarchy are incompatible concepts.
We're quick to turn to the law without cosidering that ultimately even the pettiest of transgressions will eventually call for physical violence should you choose to resist the legal system.
