    Question No more Dominate Mind PvP in Legion?

    With the change of talents for specifically PvP and PvE. It seems Dominate Mind is sitting with the PvE talents and is not listed on the PvP talents. Anybody else kinda bummed out? Was a very fun spell to use in Bg's.

    Update: Dominate Mind is going to have a talent sitting in the PvP Tree. It says "Dominate Mind can now be used on Players". This means Priests will have to choose both the PvE Talent and PvP Talent, which is ridiculous.

    My suggestion is:

    Make Dominate Mind Baseline for Every Spec, as it does not work on players unless you take the talent in the PvP tree.

    PvP'ers get to use both talent trees, so it's staying.

    Thers is no "PVE talents".

    Core talents are used everywhere, PVP and PVE. PVP talents either add or change spells.

    Oh I had no idea. I assumed PvP were getting seperate talents altogether. But now they get to use both? Could someone elaborate?

    Pve talents are available everywhere. In pve, and in pvp. You will always have these talents active. Pvp talents work in bgs, arenas, and in world pvp. So when you are pvping you have access to both your pvp and pve talents.

    It really could lose the "channeled" part in pve or get some benefit for cc'ing the priest using it, too.

    It is actually quite a powerful talent in PVP to be honest. PVE wise I agree it is kind of useless, but in PVP (RBGs) it is very useful.

    1) Obviously run off cliffs
    2) Ninja capping a node with a partner
    3) Mind Control in to a BoP to force a flag carrier to drop the flag/orb
    4) Flag room defense

    It does at least have RBG use.

    I'd like if it was a baseline spell at least for Shadow, since it really fits the theme in my opinion. I don't PvP and I don't know exactly how powerful it is in comparison with other talents, and how OP would it be if it was baseline for everyone, but if that's the case I'd like if it was unusable on players - with a talent that enables it to do so.

    I miss being able to play around with mobs without losing a better CC spell. :c

    Dominate Mind Controls a mind up to level 4 41 for 30 sec. Does not work versus Mechanical beings. or players. This spell shares diminishing returns with other incapacitating disorienting effects. Can be cast in Shadowform. Priest - LvL 45 Talent. 0.5% of Base Mana. 30 yd range. 30 sec cast (Channeled).

    sooooo yeah as it currently stands no Mc for legion pvp.

    There is a PvP talent that enables it vs players.

    Basically they did exactly what I whised for in the post before, two hours after I wrote it.

    Yeah I just noticed, if you look at the seperate PvP talents, you'll see they've added "Dominate Mind can now be used on Players". This is very ridiculous.They are basically asking us to spend 2 talents just to use Dominate Mind in PvP.

    They should do this:

    Make Dominate Mind Baseline for Every Spec, as it does not work on players unless you take the talent.


    This makes it so you only have to pick the PvP talent to use it in PvP. Why force us to pick 2 talents?

    That's what they have apparently done. The core talent makes so that you don't lose control of you character while you MC, now.

    You're misunderstanding.

    1. All priests get Dominate Mind baseline, the way it currently works on live servers, except it can't be used versus players.

    2. There's a PvP talent, Id, that makes it usable against players. With just this talent, you can use it to make people jump off cliffs and such.

    3. There's another PvE/regular talent that alters the spell in a very important way: You still control your own character.

    3a. When used against a mob, it turns the mob into a pet, complete with attack/move/ability buttons to fully control it. Extremely useful, extremely powerful

    3b. I have no idea how that will work against players.

    All in all, I'd say a spell that's instant cast, spammable CC that works on players that not only removes their control, but causes them to fight against their allies, is worth 2 talent points. Even then it's probably going to get nerfed, and rightfully so.

    Oh, I completely misunderstood. I assumed the original talent was just moved in the PvE tree, but rather it was reworked and every priest has dominate mind baseline now? That's pretty cool. I wonder how taking both the PvE and PvP talents will work. Do enemy players become our pets? Wouldn't the duration be too short? Maybe you cannot choose both. I'm very curious and excited
