Help with Socrethar mythic Logs (20+ wipes)

So right now we're sitting on 20+ wipes on mythic soc & we're having quite a few problems.

Im having basic understandings of what going wrong in the runs but not enough to explain & to deal with it.

Could anyone give us a helping hand?

We barely make it past P1. But as far as i've heard P1 is by far the worst.

you're wiping a lot to people not moving from the add & fel burst. your raids dps is also atrociously low.

Could you possibly point out who it is that's making mistakes time and time again? Also possibly the ones doing below their average dps threshold?

You guys just use Vada's portal to skip everything and start on Soc without killing anything else in Mythic before?

All of the DPS is incredibly low, even for 715-720 standards, and people aren't moving out of everything that hurts. It's basically the same as normal/heroic except in P1 theres the ugly squid which you have to kite for whoever is focusing and move out of the swirlys.

1. Most of the deaths are people just not moving from the add and getting 1 shot devoured. Either kill it or have the person who is getting focused to kite it to a prison. Need interrupts if you kill it, but with this groups DPS I'd expect to see 2-3 of the add spawn, when usually you can get away with just 1 with reasonable DPS.

2. Poweroverwhelming is just passive damage the boss gives off. Nobody should die to this... healers just failing hard and the #2 reason for deaths is just this

3. Standing in bad. Move out of the big green swirl for felburst. Dozens of people just arent being aware and moving out which gets them killed.

Seriously if you guys are making the just from Heroic to Mythic, at least read up on the changes in Mythic mode.

Tanks are getting rick rolled because they dont know how to use active mitigation. Probably why you need to spam heals on them and then everyone else dies because all healing focus is on them.
Druid tank uses Savage Defense at best once per pull, many times not even using it. It's like free damage reduction with a super short cooldown, but instead prefers to eat full damage all the time.
Monk when tanking and not in construct also has shit for mitigation with ultra low shuffle and guard.

Both tanks using terrible stamina trinkets so rather than trying to reduce damage taken they want to be able to full eat massive hits and not die, which makes them really hard to heal.
IE a 500k hit inc and you can either:
1. build up to 700k HP and eat the full 500k hit, or
2. have 30% reduction to turn it into a 350k hit while having 500k HP

Option #2 is always better. Its much easier to heal 350k than 500k but then your tanks are #1 so every hit they have to soak up massive heals to stay up, also why they have all those reverb deaths.

Essentially it's a L2Play issue for everyone here. Learn to tank, learn your class to do more DPS/heal, learn the boss fight. The rude awakening that is Mythic from all those claiming the "20 man boss" is what's holding them back after clearing heroic but actually dont have the skillset developed for Mythic

Sadly even the rets who are near the top in damage are doing things very wrong too, which indicates that everyone else is dropping the ball hard. Theyre using final verdict when seraphim has been the go to pick for a huge dps increase especially with the T18 bonus, and Odin doesnt even know what a ret rotation is. He just spams whatever ability is off CD at the time and hopes for the best... wasting wings uptime on low priority abilities and super low HP gen from not using the right generators.

Destro lock doesnt know when to cast chaos bolt or when to gen either, just hits whatever whenever, with a very wrong opener too where huge burst should come from. He's also using 10 min CD doomguard on pull... WTF. Its for execute or when you need DPS to push through a phase, this isnt some normal kill when you just zerg everything down

Afflic lock - does he have a DoT tracker? because dots and haunting spirits are falling off very frequently and drain soul is like a 30% of what it should be. It's a highly recommended destro fight, but I've seen a lot of locks not know/want to play anything other than afflic thinking it's some joke 4 button spec then do very poorly, this guy included.

Yea every class has l2p issues here.

Arcane mage pots then uses his arcane power and prismatic crystal at completely different times
One of your frost mages pots 2 seconds into the pull
The shadow priest is using his shadow fiend about 1/2 as much as he should. He has mind harvest glyphed (this is about the biggest WHAT THE FUCK I've ever had<<). Seriously hes getting like 5 off in 1:20. He was also using the manny trinket on the attempt I checked which is shite for this fight (he has sethe)

You're 3/13M. Get council and Kilrogg down and tell people to read class guides and hit dummies so they can start to rise to the occasion. Seriously, 11 pulls into this and 6 melee got hit by devour when the first add spawned. You really need to step up a lot as a group.

i wanted to try help but i can't literally nothing is going right, everything is wrong. you're dying to everything possible, stuff which shouldn't even kill you.

watch some videos, tell people to learn the encounter, honestly this looks like finding 20 people from LFR giving them full 740 BiS gear, and telling them to have a shot at archimonde mythic, just because you have the gear, does not mean you can attempt the fight without any knowledge of it.

Who ever told you socrethar mythic was free loot was wrong.

Go kill the other mythic bosses first. Have your raid team learn their classes more get used to the correct specs they should be playing then go do mythic bosses in order. Skipping bosses is useful for people who dont want to kill lower tier anymore. Not people who have never cleared lower tier before.

it's only useful for skipping gorefiend, because i don't think anyone can argue iskar/socrethar are harder than gorefiend, but yeh OP isn't even 5/13.

Many of the poeple have not even killed 1 mythic boss so you should star progressing from the start. Then the dps is horrible so the people in your guild should read some class guides and also maybe guides on the fight itself. Looks like the squid add is just getting loose and wipes the raid over and over.

You could just start on the first mythic bosses. Its pretty clear you should be there and not on Soc in the first place. It seems like no one knows how some of the mechanics work (apocalyptic felburst and shadow add especially). Looking at your guilds prog, you havent killed a mythic boss yet. Why not start with the easiest first and get some gear and some better understanding of how things work in mythic. Sure Soc is one of the easier mythics, but it's kind of silly to start so far in when you cant handle the added mechanics.
