Sure, police have largely disentangled themselves from the most dangerous areas, so they're experiencing less violence against them. While we shouldn't exaggerate the effect, there's some pretty striking jumps in murders in the cities that would likely be most impacted by this, with Baltimore murders up 56%, DC up 44%, Houston up 35%, Chicago up 20%, and NYC up 9%. Overall, homicides were up 16% in the 60 largest cities in the country.
