Father Of Benghazi Victim Challenges Hillary To Lie Detector Test

The father of former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods, one of the four Americans killed by terrorists in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, is challenging Hillary Clinton to a lie detector test to prove that she did not blame an anti-Muslim video for the attacks during private conversations with the victims’ families.

“I would love to sit down with Hillary Clinton, if she’d agree to do it as well, and at the same table by the same operator, have a lie detector test,” Charles Woods told One America News Network’s Neil W. McCabe during an interview this week.

Besides Woods, three relatives of two of the other men killed during the onslaught have claimed that Clinton blamed the video, “Innocence of Muslims,” during a memorial service held on Sept. 14, 2012. She also allegedly promised to have the maker of the controversial film arrested.

“There’s been four different family members representing three of the families that were victims, and they all said basically the same thing: that she blamed the attack on the video,” Woods told McCabe.

“She said, ‘we’re going to have that person responsible for that video put in jail,'” he recalled, adding that Clinton’s comments “struck me as being very strange.”

“Is this how you comfort someone?”

Clinton has denied in two recent interviews that she made such statements. She told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos last month that she did not mention the movie during the conversations. And when asked in an interview with The Conway (N.H.) Daily Sun last month who was lying about the conversations, Clinton said: “Not me, that’s all I can tell you.”

The implication that the families were lying about the conversations has irked Woods and other victims’ relatives.

“I think it’s really unfortunate that she was on the news lately…where she was asked that question and she basically called me and the other family members liars,” Woods said.

Besides Woods, Patricia Smith, the mother of State Department information specialist Sean Smith, and Kate Quigley, the sister of Glen Doherty, a former Navy SEAL and CIA specialist, have all claimed that Clinton made similar comments about the video and the filmmaker.

“She lied, she absolutely lied,” Patricia Smith said in an interview in November.

The Clinton campaign did not respond to TheDC’s request for comment on Woods’ challenge.

So H. Clinton is calling four different family members representing three of the families that were victims liars

and now she is being challenged to a lie detector test to prove those family members are not the ones lying but she is

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Clinton to take up that challenge

It's Vyxn's weekly Benghazi thread, oh joy.

Can't wait till next week, perhaps you'll have something vaguely interesting.

why dont you actually report me instead of complaining? I am being far more constructive than you. Why must you make a new thread on a very regular basis instead of building up a prior thread?

    Do you?

We've had like 20,000 hearings already (okay, I exaggerate a bit) and not one brought up evidence of wrong doing. Furthermore, there were multiple attacks on embassies during the Bush administration with fatalities, but it wasn't a big deal then. Why is Benghazi different?

So what exactly are you adding to this conversation?

Is he incorrect that you start regular Benghazi threads? If so I wonder how constructive they really are.

I wonder how many liberals would be up in arms about this if it was Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice instead of Clinton. I'm willing to guess there'd still be a shitstorm about it. Dead horse, that's cute.

I don't say that you are wrong or anything, but hearings in the US aren't what I'd call trustworthy to be honest =/

Benghazi is such a dead horse, republican send millions on the investigation and they found NOTHING but the gop own budget cuts that could have prevented this. really it is beyong dead but typical of right wingers to not get that clue that they are on some non issue as usual.

Total non issue, Benghazi was never an issue and will never be an issue, but the right wingers constant attacks on the other hand clearly can be labeled a big issue of national security since having a group in the country that cant take facts for what they are is a very dangerous situation for national security so we can only hope that the right wingers will smarten up before they start world war 3

They where lead by republicans so you can assume they did try to find something to smear clinton with since they care more about that than any amount of facts in the case

"WELL IF X DID Y THEN Z TOTALLY WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!"

So another conservative thread whose only leg forward is fueled by counterfactual whataboutisms?

Why does that not seem out of the ordinary.

Lie detector tests work, seriously. That's why they used them instead of waterboarding at Guantanamo.
