Sorry, but no. If you accept that gender and sex are different then you have to accept someone that race and pigment are different then or species and animal identity. By allowing people to just up and choose their gender at will because they sucked at the one they were born as we opened Pandora's box for people to be anything they want and you need to accept it. Not happy being white? You can say you've always felt black on the inside. It's exactly the same as transgender people.

No it really isn't. Sex and gender are different but overlapping, to various degrees (mostly high overlap, when low overlap there is transgenderism). They didn't "suck at" the one they were born with, and they didn't "up and choose" their gender. This is something they've struggled with even accepting since a very early age. They've kept it repressed that they had the mind of the opposite sex at all costs. I really shouldn't have to cite all the research showing transgenderism isn't a conscious decision but one that is foisted upon the individual from biology.

So what if people can be anything they want? Would anything bad really happen to you? You portray a very irrational fear, something resembling a phobia, for people living out eccentric lifestyles. Ultimately you'll have to accept it anyway since this is a free country and you have no right to stop them.
