Trying to gear my Hunter up for raiding again but was just wondering what crafted gear should I buy? I know the gun is probably #1 but what other slots would be best until I get into HFC?

It depends on how much gold you have to throw around, but generally, weapon and trinket slots are the highest DPS value items.

I agree Weapon + trinket seems a descent way to start.

Also to be able to tag quickly in HFC LFR and accepted in HFC normal runs you can also to some pvp -> Ashran is actually a fast way to earn stuff.
Since the pvp gear don't have pure pvp stats anymore it's pretty acceptable to start raiding with those.
