No, as a healthcare provider who provide tons of free / charity care, it's kind of offensive. The previous poster is also ignorant of EMTALA (now 30 years old).

Because I don’t like seeing uneducated fellow human beings die in the streets from sickness and starvation

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people - Martin Luther King, Jr.

People are capitalists from stone age. Someone was always powerful enough to take first, sweetest and biggest chunk of mammoth meat.

Corporate subsidies and bank bailouts seem like they don't quite fit in with the others there. Start there and see where we end up.

Now morals come into play where we don't like people dying in the street so we build socialist safety nets. But sad as it may be, Yes that is the free market working as intended.
When Murica bailed out banks because too big to fail, we didn't seem to have a problem with that. In fact banks were so happy they gave their CEO's bonuses. But old man winter is dying of butt cancer and we must let the free market work as intended. Sorry Mr. Winter, nobody will miss you. That would be socialism. And as propaganda has taught me, socialism is just another word for communism.

What's that? Banks too big to fail? You need money? Go ahead and take your pockets worth cause that's not socialism. That's just good business decisions.

I had insurance that denied me coverage cause pre-existing conditions. Stupid crap like a hernia, an infection, and just about everything really. Then Obama care came out and I get covered. Every time without question. I needed custom made butt cream with nitroglycerin and got it immediately without losing an arm or leg. While I've used charity care when insurance refuses to pay, it's not something I should need to worry about when I pay for insurance.
