Legion - Subtlety Rogue Artifact Intro
This intro rewards you with Gorefang. You can see all of the models for it on our Artifact Weapons page.

A familiar face from The Burning Crusade makes an appearance in this video. You can skip to 11:30 to see who it is!

    Legion - Rogue Class Hall
The Rogue class hall was updated in the latest build.

    • You no longer enter through the sewers, but instead show your insignia to an NPC in the Wine and Cheese shop or the General Goods shop on the opposite side of Dalaran.
    • After showing these NPCs your insignia, you can open a secret bookcase door or use a knocker to enter the Rogue Class Hall.
    • The Class Hall itself was updated, with new NPCs and different decorations in the latest build.
    • You can exit through either of the entrances, or off of a plank down the sewer drain pipe down into the Broken Isles.

Legion Alpha - Build 20979 Creature Models
Today we have videos and higher quality previews of some of the models from yesterday's build.

Raid Testing Schedule - January 29
Originally Posted by Blizzard (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Remember that Heroic difficulty scales for any group size between 10 and 30 players, so feel free to assemble and bring a group of any size within that range. Our general plan is to test every encounter on Heroic difficulty first, and then test sections of the raid on Normal and Raid Finder, alongside targeted Mythic tests.

    Friday, January 29

    • Nythendra - Heroic Emerald Nightmare - 14:00 PST (17:00 EST, 23:00 CET)
    • Skyopyron - Heroic Suramar Palace - 15:00 PST (18:00 EST, 00:00 CET)

As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of an alpha environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the boss being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.

Q: How do I get into the raid zone?

A: In Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade Sr. in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)

Q: What character should I use to test the raid?

A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players' effective level to 110 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.

Q: How long does testing last?

A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we're satisfied that we've received that information for a given boss, we'll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

    FEEDBACK: Neltharion's Lair (Normal)

At this stage, a lot of overall combat balance is in flux, but we're still very interested in hearing overall feedback and impressions of the experience and mechanics.

(Note that Eye of Azshara was opened a bit prematurely and we'll be closing it shortly - we'll post a separate feedback thread for that dungeon when we're ready for feedback.)

Remember that you are playing a level-up Normal dungeon. That doesn't mean that things can't still be undertuned even with that target in mind, but something like Iron Docks Normal or Slag Mines Normal is a fair point of comparison for desired tuning (and many folks haven't run those dungeons on that difficulty in quite some time). If it feels noticeably easier than those, then that is of course important for us to hear.

Nothing meaningful changed for Blood in this last build.
Stay tuned for the next build, which has some significant changes for Blood. GCD utilization in the build currently on alpha is way too low, and we'll be significantly increasing it (aka, making the rotation 'faster'). (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

    Where did Headlong Rush go?
What use is Haste when the auto-swing increase is negligible?

Just a bug. Headlong Rush is intended to stay. It's missing due to a bug; we'll get that fixed soon.

EDIT: A clarification... Arms does have Headlong Rush, it's just not affecting Mortal Strike's cooldown properly. It is affecting most of your GCDs properly, though. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

And interesting poll, but why only gold options? (Celestalon)

    Lore
I don't believe it's poor word choice. If demons are technically alive then Infernals can't be demons if they are constructs which you stated were never really alive. This calls into question what homunculi are. It's stated that they can be constructed even though they're demons.
demons are all different species and come from different planets, so I think it's a more encompassing term (Muffinus)

Celestalon likes to jump on the wrong part of any argument. The poll was made, here, because of the 100g placeholder. That's why the poll had gold price options, but more importantly, it was almost entirely voted here that spec swapping should be free. Celestalon really likes stirring the pot.

So did they close off all the sewers to everyone but rouges or only the part with the class hall because I find it a bit of a dick move to take away a part of Dalaran that was open to everyone before just to make a class hall with a neat entrance but other wise is pretty crappy considering what a revamped Ravenholt could have been.

That "horse" looks more like a unicorn... it has a horn, a beard, cloven hooves, and a tail that doesn't look like a horse's tail (is it supposed to be a goat's tail?)... And it doesn't run like a horse either - given it doesn't have a horse's legs, that makes sense.

But boy does it look good. (Prefer the blue and white colours, but the black(brown?) and red look is pretty nice too.)

I'm curious, did they just drop the whole Vanessa Van Cleef quest in the rogue artifact area or what? When I saw the outlaw video it was a bit different. For one, Garona was the leader and she isn't this time. And we had other NPCs there including Vanessa and that badass Shattered Hand Orc rogue who is also missing. I'm surprised they'd change all of that. It added more flavor in my opinion. Maybe I'm missing something though and they're still around?

Nope. You can still access much of the sewers, but you may not want to, as it is a free for all PvP area most of the time.

Was looking for a comment mentioning this, I too would like to know, last time I saw the Outlaw Rogue video, Vanessa staged her death and became a follower, additionally the table was bigger and had more seats. and Garona was the leader, not this ravenholdt fellow. Seems a bit lame to take out the Vancleef part.. I like the variety of "Rogue", assassins, Shado-Pan, pit fighters, pirates. Disappointing if this replaced what I saw before.
Eagerly waiting one expansion at a time for the Tinker/Mechanic/Engineer class since 2010

That's what I'm saying! It was cool seeing all the different types of rogues. And I especially liked the shattered hand guy from the cleft of shadows in vanilla orgrimmar. I also liked Garona as the leader. My guess is they scrapped the idea of Vanessa surviving and she's now dead again lol.

I hope those horses are tameable. Been wanting a tamed horse for years and all the current in-game models are shit. That blue one is just gorgeous.

I hope Blizzard realizes that the Rogue class hall "guards" look really ridiculous with T11 on.

Dalaran has nothing todo with Rogues, it' a Magical city, it doesn't make sense...Plus, put Rogue organization beneath the sewers of a city who has many magic treasures? Poor design choice.

Grand Magistrix. Damn. That is one sick looking armor set.

I dont even play a mage, and still find it super stupid that the rogue's class hall is under Dalaran...Remember when it used to be a mage city to learn and practice magic? Yeah... I guess you can just learn how to cast fire spells out of pamphlets in any city now days.

Haha the wine and cheese shop in Dalaran, I always kept an eye on that place, I knew there was more to it than just cheese. And wine. Nice cheeses. And the wine isn't bad either. Its reputation just hid the skids though.

well that's good in a way though I hope the free for all is only for PVP servers, for PVE servers the parts still remaining open to the rest should remain like it used to be, duels allowed but respecting the pvp flags of the players at the same time. But then again this is Blizzard we're talking about and they've been trying to force pvp even though it hasn't really made sense in lore for many many years given the threats that face Azeroth.
