    Thumbs up Yeah!!

Fucking crazy shit bruh. I was up the other night thinking something similar, could see a really bright star in the sky and I wondered whether that was just me lel or whether people would see this on the other side of the planet. IDK it's all pretty far out, gets me crackin' like a galah just thinking about this kind of shit (sorry I'm Aussie, 'scuse the slang!).

Anyway man peace out, gonna read the rest of this thread to get some answers hopefully. Gotta finish up my algebra homework for the night but looking forward to a reply. Live for this deep stuff, you don't get into chats like this where I'm from, it's all about the beer and the womenz in my hometown.

It isn't (because the moon isn't in Australia), the people are!

Polaris is 'up', you need some kind of reference when navigating.

Moon doesn't have human. No need to rotate.

Stay in Church and you will learn the truth.
Moon does rotate, it's rotation is the same rate as its orbit of the Earth, hence we always see the same face.

Again, Polaris, the North Star is North.

Again, Polaris, the North Star is North.
In reality there is no "up" or "north" in space on a grand scale that we can currently determine.

No, but for the purposes of navigation and referencing points there has to be and Polaris is convenient since we use it on Earth for navigation anyway.

I guess that is fair enough. However, I have a feeling once we get to the point where we can travel between stars we will use something else other than Polaris for navigation.

Yeah, as soon you are within another constellation the usual methods fail utterly. And you could find yourself "norther" than Polaris too.
