What exactly told you that your drive was full?

I have met the similar situation, that here is a pop out window told me that my C: drive is full, but I checked it has enough free space. In that situation, I use the AOMEI Partition Assistant to check partition. But here I want to ask you whether you used SSD or HDD, if you use SSD, I recommend you use this freeware to check partition, then, make a 4k alignment for the SSD. If you use the HDD, maybe you need defrag the disk.
