1000€-1200€ wow/streaming PC build (or maybe fix old one?)

A friend of mine is having problems with his PC, and he's considering buying a new pc alltogether.

Budget ~1000€ (up to 1200 max)
    Country Germany
Resolution 1920x1080, might get a second monitor sooner or later
Games / Settings Desired / usage
    - usually just playing wow, preferably on ultra, mythic raid setting (so 20 peeps and lots of effects might be going on)
    - sometimes streaming, though no video editing planned
Do you need an OS? No - We are going to use Windows 10, having a licence already
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? No
    Parts that can be reused
Theoretically everything from the current build, but there were some problems with that pc (see below) so I'm not too sure.
    His current build is:
    CPU AMD FX-6300 (Boxed)
Cooler boxed (probably one of the problems with his current build?)
    Main Board Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 (AM3+)
GPU 1024MB XFX Radeon HD 7770
    RAM 8GB DDR Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1600 DIMM
Power Supply 550W XFX Pro Core Ed. Non-Modular 80+
    Case MS-Tech CA-0270GR Xerxes
    Storage 1TB WD Green WD10EZRX

Problems with his current build were: His pc just turned off a couple of times last summer, probably due to overheat. We did clean it properly more than once afterwards which did help for a while, but recently it happened again nonetheless. Apart from that during the last week his screen went green with stripes two times (which I guess means the GPU is also nearing its end...), so uhm... even though the pc isn't SOO old (~3 years), it doesn't look so great anymore.... I probably would reuse neither CPU nor GPU and I guess the PSU would have to be checked as well. Thus the suggestion to go for a new build alltogether.

A mutual friend suggested this one:
    https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping_...007e4820cce42c

    Intel Core i5 6600K 4x 3.50GHz
    Asus Z170-A Intel Z170 So.1151 Dual
16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4-2400
    4096MB Gigabyte Radeon R9 380 Gaming G1
    Scythe Mugen 4
    Cooler Master HAF 912
650 Watt Enermax Thriathlor Eco Modular
    250GB Samsung 850 Evo 2.5" (6.4cm) SATA
    ___________
    ~970€

    what do you guys think?

Thanks for the many suggestions. I like the third and the fourth build a lot and it probably comes down to how much he's willing to spend.
I guess I have to take a look in his case as well, because his current card isn't as long as the suggested cards, and see how much space is left, "just in case" (pun intended :P).

Can you tell me what the differences between the ASRock Z170M motherboard and the Asus Z170-A? I was kinda wondering.

Both are fine, I just picked the cheapest one that was good and covered everything needed =p

If i would buy all the parts for the last build and instead of buying that 547€ GFX use my GTX 760 - how much do you think my performance will drop in comparison? Same usage profile as OP (high end raids, streaming) with the addition of multi boxing (2 accounts).

Err.. Realistically nothing? It's WoW we're talking about, you'll stay above 60 easily. The game cares much more about CPU power than GPU.

But depending on where you live the 6700K might not be the best option, you usually can build a 5820K system for the same price.

Last build was mostly a joke, the 390 of the second last build is already kind of overkill for WoW.

So... one more problem we just noticed: His current case is rather slim... Only ~19cm width measured on the outside (I actually got to slightly less, but we didn't have the sides attached at that point... whatever it's rather slim). I only roughly measured on the inside but it definitely looks like we wouldn't be able to fit in the Mugen4 or the be quiet! PURE ROCK or really any similiar sized cooler. ~deep sigh~

Does anyone have suggestions for cases we might use? Miyagie already send us some in his PM (thank you very much) though maybe someone else has some suggestions?

edit: just thought I might include what was suggested.
    be quiet! Silent Base 600
    Phanteks Enthoo Pro M
Well and our friend had suggested the Cooler Master HAF 912, though when I asked him about it, he just said that he's sure the parts would fit inside

I don't know much about cases... it would be nice if it's rather silentish but really... I know there's another pc nearby which is loud as hell, so I guess it wouldn't matter that much <,< I guess mostly it's a matter of preference but recommendations are still appreciated.

    alright, thanks for the info!

Thanks for all the suggestions We ordered all the parts and went with a build similar to Artorius fourth one. He was aware that the third one should be enough for his cause, but decided to spend the 200 bucks because it was still in the budget and he hopes the pc will last for a while ^^ or something like that
