BLM Activist checks out on the Ohio state court house steps.

A Black Lives Matter activist killed himself on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse, authorities said.

MarShawn McCarrel, 23, shot himself in front of the Columbus building Monday evening, Lt. Craig Cvetan of the State Highway Patrol told the Columbus Dispatch.

“My demons won today. I'm sorry,” the activist, who recently attended the NAACP Image Awards, posted on his Facebook page around 3 p.m., just hours before his body was found near the Statehouse.

Is your thread about some random bloke who offed himself? In which case, what is there to discuss?

Or about conspiracy theories, which we can't discuss?

Wait, you're trying to tell me that some of those activists are mentally damaged persons?

    I never saw that coming.

Well damn, I guess you are sort of right on both accounts. I just thought it was interesting.

By him offing himself he can no longer fighter the good fight, then the second part is people thinking he was assassinated.

I don't personally believe that, but the fact that other BLM people are jumping to that conclusion is... interesting for lack of a better description.

Didn't you hear? Police stations across the US have special officers that go out and shoot random black men. I hear they decide using a magic 8-ball.

Let a police investigation happen, until then, there's no reason to believe there was any foul play.

From the snippet that was posted (didn't read full article) doesn't sound like it was a BLM action or anything, just someone who was very ill and ended up takign their life.

Why anyone is thinking it's some kind of statement, IDK.

EDIT: Read the full article. Doesn't seem like it was really a statement. It's no secret he wasn't happy with the state/gov. so that might have influenced his decision to go through with it all, and where. More like one final "fuck you" before he went.

Maybe he was trying to show the world that inside our heads we're all the same purplish-pinkish-bloody goo.

As a sidebar, has anyone thought of how the whole Black Lives Matter vs. All Lives Matter could have been completely avoided and their point still gotten across 100% if they had labelled the movement BLMT, or Black Lives Matter Too? They'd have been able to avoid all the distraction surrounding the name of the movement that way and it wouldn't have detracted from the message at all.

You showed that two people jumped to that conclusion. Do you think that is enough to brand an entire group? I have a lot of branding to do depending on your answer.

People are happy to brand police officers based on the actions of a few.

People are happy to brand feminists based on the actions of a few.

People are happy to brand christians based on the actions of a few.

People are happy to brand muslims based on the actions of a few.

People are happy to brand dog breeds based on the actions of a few.

To paraphrase a great philosopher, life is like animal porn. It's not for everyone and we shouldn't judge someone for wanting to walk out of the theater before its over.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

So if other people do it, it's fine? Or is this some attempt at whataboutism? Any way you look at it your post is bad.

Was this because of the Oscars or because the Panthers lost the Super Bowl?
