Well, obviously. It's Doom. However, it was from over ten years ago so I didn't care to mention it because it had no effect on two movies using FPS as a thematic way at the same time.

So, apparently this movie is showing at SXSW, and looking at RT, at least the critics seem to have liked it:

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/hardcore_henry/

94%, 15 fresh, 1 rotten. An average of 6.5/10 rating though.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3072482/

    7/10 on IMDb.

I'm guessing it might be an acquired taste, but at least it doesn't seem to be a 4-5/10 -type of a flop.

IMDb ratings are useless until the movie has had wide-release. I've already ordered my tickets for the 11th April, it's an interesting concept.

I know a lot of people don't consider critic's review but I thought I'd just throw it out there -- back in 2015 when it premiered, it had mediocre to average reviews even when several companies were fighting over the rights. But it seems like there were reshoots or re-edit since as the recent reviews has almost been unanimously positive.

I dont consider IMDB ratings as much anymore but Hardcore Henry started a bidding war against several Production Companies for its rights. Usually that means it did exceptionally well in film festival screenings.

Otherwise sites like rotten and meta show solid reviews as well
