Eventually, Batman and Superman realize that they get a whole lot more accomplished working together than trying to elbow each other out of the way to be the first one to call dibs on stopping Luthor's latest scheme. 'Enemy Mine' only works so many times until suspension of disbelief is first challenged, then broken by the growing realization that the status quo will never change, which is the death knell for fantasy stories that rely on suspension of disbelief to maintain audience engagement. Warcraft's storyline has suffered from suspension of disbelief problems since WoW's inception, and it's only grown stronger since Wrath of the Lich King as Blizzard's unwillingness to allow the storyline between the factions to evolve beyond a decade-old status quo often intrudes on the storytelling; characters have been completely derailed to the point of a 180-degree about face on previous characterization and direction for no reason other than to keep the war ongoing by Blizzard's own admission (cases in point: WotLK-onward Garrosh versus Garrosh at the end of the Nagrand questline, comics and WotLK Varian versus the Varian from the novelization of Beyond the Dark Portal, and MoP Jaina versus Warcraft 3-Cataclysm Jaina).
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

faction conflict IS world of warcraft. Yes every expansion has it's own "distraction" that the conflict centers around and this is necessary due to no 1 side being able to "win" per se but the enduring conflict over the course of the entire game, seeing development in every single expansion is the conflict between the 2 factions. removing that would sacrifice so much potential character and story development while also abandoning the central conflict of the entire game and an integral part of what warcraft means as an idea.

and what do you gain? being able to play with your horde/alliance friends without having to log to an alt? if there are people in the other faction you want to play with make a new char or transfer over, you clearly don't care about your faction or race identity seeing as you are willing abandon both of those things by abolishing the conflict that makes them relevant, thus there is nothing stopping you from faction switching bar a meager cost.

also just because you don't pvp doesn't mean you should ruin the game for those of us who do just for a little convenience ty.

In a real world situation, they'd either do the cold war thing and avoiding committing to aconflict, or actually commit to one.
It seems you confuse entirety of Alliance and Hord co-operating with segments of them co-operating. Just like in real world, no faction is trully united and like minded across the board.

I have missed that. Either way, what you're setting up is a 'human' civil war between the Forsaken and still alive humans of Lordaeron; would the other factions really want to get in too heavily on that?
