Racism is such a silly concept, people are xenophobic because biologically we have adapted to being cautious around people that look and act differently than we do. The homo-sapiens that were friendly and outgoing to other cultures and ethnicities, unfortunately, didn't have an opportunity to pass on their genes. So really I don't play this game of 'oh look at how many of my friends are minorities, wow, I am really culturally understanding.' If you see several African-American males in a group, who you don't know, you will avoid them; it's instinctive.
